I saw two other taller kids on campus today for visits with Tyler Adams. Allen, do you know who they were?

I assume he doesn't because if he did we're far and away his best offer.

I don't want us to get burned by waiting around for someone who may never come (e.g. Kyle Anderson) or who will never come (e.g. DSR). This kid is supposedly athletic for his position, he's got decent size for a pg, and has a good handle. I hope we lock this up.

You dont pass up on Anderson. If this kid wants in after Anderson makes a decision then you can. If his recruitment hurts our chances you wait.

You dont pass up on Anderson. If this kid wants in after Anderson makes a decision then you can. If his recruitment hurts our chances you wait. Obviously I agree that Anderson is the better prospect. I'm just worried that Anderson won't make a decision for awhile, will ultimately decide that staying at home at SHU or something is the way to go, and we're stuck holding the bag without another recruit. Christon's not a junk recruit, he's a player that is purportedly moving up the rankings as more see him, and I don't want to see us scrambling to get some under the radar low ceiling PG recruit just because we need the depth.

A scoring oriented guard with good size and length is also not mutually exclusive to Anderson. Whatever you want to call these positions, I think Anderson figures to play on top of the key in the Jeff Green role a lot, which is half point and half forward. We're not a dribble drive offense.
I haven't seen Christon play so this is speculation, but if the staff likes him, I think he's a good signing at this point. I see him as more of a Smith-Rivera alternative. Anderson will play regardless of where he goes because he's a beast.

MOD NOTE: Posters should familiarize themselves with what constitutes appropriate and inappropriate booster contact with recruits. See the NCAA rules at this link:

...and in the post pinned to the top of this forum.

Wow money is nice. Just the kind of athletic backcourt player we need. Very impressive. He reminds Ole Bronxitos of a young Jamal Crawford. These are the kind of kids we must recruit and land. Love his body, his length and athleticism. I am glad to be getting away from recruiting the compact stubby point guards. Looks like JT3 has heard Bronxitos pleas.

Bronx, I think the mentality of the kid being recruited is changing as well; tough, aggressive, scoring, kids who have a chance to impact immediately.

Id...you speak truth but the worry in the back of my dome piece (RIP shout out to Jerome's niece on her way home from Jones' Beach) is are we going to utilize these kids properly? This kid, Otto Advantage, Jabril, Whittington and Bowen are Ferraris that need to run. Is JT3 really going to change his style and play uptempo on offense and defense? I can see them getting frustrated running a structured offense. Bronx hopes to Horus he is incorrect but vamos a ver.

I know bronx, it's bug, plus little rob is sellin' drugs on a dime, hanging out with young thugs that all carry 9's. Maybe my fav hip hop album of the 90's. Without a doubt, the best NAS track EVER!!!
