bronx, clearly the hoyas are on a mission to get some top guys for '12 and '13. Now, since they began to think about it they realized the error of their past recruiting ways.

TJ....would you join the Navy if you did not like the gravy and rice......or the Hoyas if you did not like the Princeton O?

Well, sometimes how much you enjoy your meal depends upon the company your keeping. And the Princeton-Georgetown O will be different with Hollis getting more time at the 3, and the frosh and Bowen running in it - just like Duke and others tasted three or four years ago.
By the way - "down" is a relative term - especially in the Big East. Just two years ago I truly enjoyed the Hoyas run to the Big East tournament finals. And while NCAA tourney wins need to and will follow again - how nice would the offense look with Kyle and TJ Warren running in it?

Ed was very talented. Underrated: Masta Ace and Royce da 5'9
While I don't think the Hoyas would take both DSR and Kyle, i do think they'd take Kyle and TJ.
I'd prefer a big like Parker or Upshaw w/Kyle, but Hoyas are very limited schollie wise.

Really I'd? If I could pick any 2012 duo for guys we are targeting....I don't think it gets much better than Kyle and tj. For one, we may be without Clark and Hollis and could certainly use another perimeter threat. Tj provides that and much more. Secondly, while Adams, Moses, lubick and Hopkins may not provide a ton of scoring punch (am confident, tj, Kyle, Otto, jabril and markel would handle that)...this foursome would more than hold their own on the defensive end and on the boards. In the end, while it would be nice to have another stud down low....it's not as much a necessity.

I said they'd prob take Kyle and TJ, not Kyle and DSR.
It may not be as much of a need, but they're on Parker and Upshaw hard for '12. past the eval stage.

Ultimately, I think the hope is that landing Kyle would lead to Parker and/or Warren coming aboard with him. I think Parker is on a different level than Upshaw. Parker you take no matter what if he wants in. Upshaw isn't as much of an open and shut case. I could see us taking him in the spring depending how things shake out this fall.

right, I just meant they're recruiting them hard. Upshaw, since he's spring, will prob shake out sooner.

Bronxitos loves Parker!!! If we get Kyle...or TJ.....Parker will still be important. Kid is rebounder and a space eater. He starts at PF the day he walks on campus.

I like Parker's mid-range jumper too... nice form and he's not afraid to take it... not sure he starts right away, but gets 20+ mins.

I honestly would be just as happy to land Warren as any guy we are recruiting. Warren might very well be a 2 or 3 year guy, where KA is likely a one and done.

I've been keeping quiet on this one, but KA is not a one and done. He will be an NBA guy, that's certain. But he's still a 2-3 year college kid, IMO....if for no other reason than his lack of top end athleticism. He needs to develop more of a jumper, more strength and more of an NBA position. So whomever gets KA will probably have him through his junior season

TJ Warren sounds like he'd be a great fit for us as well. Love people who can shoot.
I'm not sure he isn't a better pro prospect than Anderson. Haven't seen him play, but just from write-ups.

Anyone who says KA is one and done has never seen him play. \\ I have seen KA play and if he wants to be a one and done....he will be a one and done. Its that simple. Monroe could have easily been a one and done but chose to stick around another year....I am sure that Kyle would find himself in a similar situation. He's a unique talent. That said, deliver me TJ and I'll be VERY happy!!!

His does not have the athleticism to be a one and done. His is a less athletic Jalen Rose. Plus all of this is moot because the NBA is not coming back with a one and done. Age limit is going up to 20.
