No wins are ungratifying.

I agree. It felt like a loss.
We are still playing like crap, but wins like this buy some more time to right the ship.

Just win baby. Any road win we get is unexpected.

Banking two road wins is all that matters. Hopefully they work on defense and dribbling up the court over the next seven days but two wins is two wins.

this was away and is the second win in a row for us so i wouldn't put it up there

Nice win Hoyas. Awful defensive effort but Seton Hall was draining some tough shots and we made the stops when it counted. Could have been a really, really devastating loss.

Not at all.
If this board is sitting around in six weeks arguing whetherwe're going to be shipped out west or be in the Duke bracket, look back on this game and remember how close GU came to a 2-5 record and the trouble that would surely follow. But thanks to 9-10 FT by the seniors, two missed one and ones by SHU, and one Pirate basket in the last 3:00 after shooting 64% from the half, they live again and this board is a happier palce for the next eight days....and Nate Lubick escapes the doghouse for that behind the back entry pass.
GU could have easily played itself off the brackets in mid-January, but they fought back. That's all we can ask for at this point. On to the Redmen!

I thought the '04 win in OT against Norfolk St. at home was pretty ungratifying. But that's just me.

Didn't watch the game but the box score shows that our starting 5 shot 57% from the field. Not bad. "Just Win Baby"? Apparently we are now the Raiders of the Big East... expect the Raiders didn't lose in conference this year.
Bring on the Johnnies.

Yeah, but the Raiders play in the NFL (division, not conference) equivalent of the MEAC.

Do people realize how close this season was to being over? No win that saves you're season from total destruction is un-gratifying. I've experienced a bunch of ungratifying wins in November, a few in March when the seasons already over, but this isn't even close. Are you people for real?

I understand that this was essentially a "must win" game....and I am extremely glad we pulled it out. But watching SH go on that 19-2 run which included 8 SH layups was torturous.
On to the johnies!!

Yeah this win felt great. The Hoyas looked a premature end to the season in the face and said "We are not going out like that!" Great effort to come back boys!
