It's getting hard to be a good role model for the kids while listenting to Hoyas games lately. *%&$#*&!&$#($(#$**$#(#$*$!!!!!AAAAAAAAAAAAAARHGHGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahem. Good night children. What's that? That was a phrase daddy learned at Georgetown. Something in ancient Greek and Latin. Now off to bed.

Okay, maybe that columnist was right in saying the Hoyas were ruining it for the Big East.
Ugh, seeing Provvy get more offensive boards than the Hoyas got total really makes me want to puke.
Then again, I the team played far better than I would have expected coming in. I'm not ready to slit my wrists yet.

I figured a season as hopeful as this was still two or three years away. Disappointing end to the regular season, but still plenty of ball left to play--if the Hoyas want it!

That attendence figure is misleading because we hosted Duke last year.

38-15 rebounding margin is one of the most bizarre statistics I can ever recall. Losing by 3 with that differential is amazing. I have seen Hanke play and he is not Moses Malone.

Pardon me for my ranting, but I just need to let off some steam. It's hard to win the game when your opponent is +23 on the boards. Easily the most frustrating game of the year. We rebound we win, simple as that. It seemed like they scored on every possession coming down the stretch in the second half, and most were - you guessed it, 2nd chance points. Someone's gotta teach our boys to block out. Green scored 15 points, but only TWO rebounds. Hibbert had one board, with no points and fouled out with 11 minutes left. If the halftime stats at MCI were correct, Providence was outrebounding us 24-5 on the boards at the half. Pathetic. No excuse for that. Gomes should have never had a chance to make that leaner in the lane. We should have won this game. Losing streaks suck. Two years ago, we lost six in a row in the middle of the conference season. Last year, we ended the season losing nine in a row. This year, we've lost 5 in a row to basically kill any NCAA hopes, of which we were at one point a virtual lock. I'm not losing faith, because I believe we will be NASTY next year, with everybody returning and a solid, though guard-overloaded, freshman class. JT III has us on the right track, but I don't understand how we've regressed so much this late in the season. We gotta beat Seton Hall in the Big East Tournament. Please STOP THE BLEEDING!! Out drinking to forget this loss.

Next year we are almost certain to be NIT bound again unfortunately. We can't rebound and can't shoot the ball particularly well. One decent frosh and three mediocre ones are hardly going to keep up with a league that has demonstrably passed us by.

Disagree, Frank. We will certainly be better next year. This year's recruiting class is better ranking wise than last year's. And we get virtually everybody back. We just need to learn to stop choking late in the season.

Really a sad way to see such a fun regular season end. I feel that all the optimism we had early on is gone, and its just more gloom and doom.
Let's try to look at the positives though. We have arguably the best Freshman in the conference, and another Freshman who has shown enough skills to indicate that he can be a dominator in the future. Almost all of our contributors are coming back--our two juniors should be ready to dominate, and our Freshman should be ready to explode. Everyone will be more comfortable with their role in JTIII's scheme. The future IS still bright.
The present is just a tough pill to swallow, and Im as disappointed as anyone. But lets not give up. Lets go into the BET tourney and leave it all on the floor. Anything can happen. Lets at least finish strong, win at least 1 in the tourney, and tear it up in the NIT.
