Considering that we can't guard Ramone Moore or Casey Mitchell, can anyone remind me how the hell our guards shut down Gibbs and Wanamaker last year?

And say what, exactly? I spend a lot of money for my season tickets in the lower bowl - in part so I can take my large family to games and indoctrinate my children with all things Hoya - and so I can entertain clients and friends at big games like this.
It doesn't happen very often, but I will be bringing two die-hard Pitt fans to the game with me tomorrow night and I don't feel the least bit of guilt about it. They will be respectful, I'm sure, and sit on their hands a little more than they otherwise would when things are going their way, but that doesn't make me any less of a Georgetown fan. I'm happy that I get to share the Georgetown experience with others who love Big east basketball as much as I do. Win or lose, these guys are thrilled to have a chance to experience the game in person. Beating Duke like a drum last year was made that much more enjoyable because I was sitting next to a buddy who was a Duke alum.

Churchwell, there is a big difference between coming to the game yourself and bringing opposing fans with you who may root for their team but will do so respectfully, and simply selling the tickets to rabid opposing fans who, with enough numbers, lessen the home court advantage.

Hopefully the team will use this "Big" game to turn it around on the court. I will actually be surprised and know the sky has fallen if we do not get a max effort out of our veterans. We all know they like to shine when the lights are the brightest, well . . . let's do it then.
Even if we are unable to pull off a W against Pitt, just playing better, executing better can have a huge carry-over effect to the upcoming, winnable games. A team knows, even in defeat, if they played with a rhythm and with a flow. As long as we can see that tomorrow night, I will be happy and optimistic about the next couple of weeks.

You're right Frazier....perhaps I jumped the gun. For the record, I would NEVER sell my tickets to an opposing fan. And I would NEVER bring a Syracuse fan with me to a game, even if I were best friends with one. Which I'm not. Because Syracuse fans suck and are stupid. But they are fun to look at and make fun of. Which I like to do. Often.

agree - there is a HUGE difference between bringing someone to a game and selling tickets.

Georgetown does the same thing with their special seats, they only know one of the four seats will be routing for the HOYAS, last year the ones behind me were filled with the worse fans I have ever encountered from CUSE.
This year these seats have my friends in them, I bought them.

I think this years pitt team is a good match up for us with regards to pace. this is not a slow it down grind it out pitt team. They push the ball and run.
We don't turn over the ball excessively and we win this game.

I don't know I jut feel like the stars are aligning on this one. 1) Our backs are against the wall 2) Pitt will be a little over confident with us struggling and them at the top of the league 3) Chris Wright destroyed this team last year in Pittsburgh. (27 Pts, 3 Reb, 2 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk) 4) Julian, Austin, and Jason all had great to solid games as well. 5) We didn't get anything from: Henry, Vee, Hollis only enh production came from Jerrelle. One has to think our bench+hollis will perform a little better this game. 6) Pitt doesn't force a lot of turnovers. I know we can turn the ball over a lot anyway, but it's not their game plan. 7) We've had Burr( St. Johns), Cahill( WV), and Hess(ND) recently. I expect us to get some decent reffing tonight.
Keys to the game: 1) Take care of the ball. 2) Guards need to crash the boards and block out. In last years game Wannamaker was their leading rebounder on both ends of the court collecting 5 offensive rebounds. We need to rebound as a group like we were doing early in the year. Chris, Austin, Jason need to worry about securing the rebound not leaking out for fast breaks. 3) Attack the basket and get to the free throw line.

Is the game in danger of being cancelled we have 20 inches of snow..argh DC is, fortunately, not in Connecticut. My trip down (first on the shuttle, then on Amtrak) has been cancelled as we have 15 inches of snow in my driveway... and counting.

In other words a book burning...what a genius retort!!!!! LOL I have no clue what the hell you mean by that. Princeton Offense is not a joke and if you really think that then you're a joke. 1 FF, 1 SW 16, 2 Regular Season Championships, and a BET championship. yeah let's dump this crappy system, we'll never go anywhere with it.
