Cuse beat ND...seems like ND was the same as when we played them, except a lot worse 3-pt shooting percentage.
The key to Cuse's win was Rick Jackson realizing he had to own the paint the second half, which he did.

Not within the time frame, but if anyone else is going to be at the Bradley Center for the MU/ND game on Jan. 10, stop up in Suite 362 and say "hi." I'll be the one looking pained no matter who's winning.

Their coach is funny lookin', like a cartoon character.

kenpom.com/blog/index.php/weblog/pre-conference_preview_blowout_part_1/Kenpom is doing simulation on the conference seasons and showing who will probalby win each conference. I know he has Pitt winning the Big East in these simulations, but i don't know how close he has it, but I imagine it's really close. The best part is the ACC is the least competitive race out of all 32 leagues ;D B10 is also very top heavy based on the data.

UConn giving ND a better game on the road than we did. Down 1 at the moment. Pitt looks to be taking care of business on the road against a mid-level team in Providence. It would be hard to make the case that our Hoyas belong among the top conference contenders at this pointnn

Friars only down 3 with 5 remaining.
ND up 7 with about 3 left.

Friars with an unforced turnovers just passing the ball around the perimeter late is probably going to cost them.
Give Pitt credit, they made shots and score more than 60 on the road. Those are two things that you have to do if you want to win the Big East.

man Pitt just has the onions that our team sorely lacks They play better FT defense. Winning on the road in the Big East seems to be pretty difficult. Maybe we shouldn't hang our players from the gallows just yet.,

ND overcomes poor free throw shooting to win against Uconn.
Providence falls to pitt. Sucks they almost pulled it off. I'd say it was more Providence losing it than pitt winning it.
now WV should beat Depaul.

Maybe we shouldn't hang our players from the gallows just yet., Not quite hanging them from the gallows. For the record, the Pitt win tonight was on the road. Pitt was down going into the final minute, stayed calm, ran their offense flawlessly, played tough d when it mattered, and won without last second drama. Thats late game coaching and execution that we haven't displayed often the past 3 seasons.

No matter where/who you are playing. Oh and another team looked even stronger in beating Providence at Providence last week than Pitt did tonight. The Johnnies. Maybe, just maybe, the Johnnies are for real this year with their NINE seniors. Them along with ND (knocking off 8th ranked UCONN) aren't going to be bad away losses when all is said and done. Let's take care of business at home against a WV team that is, gasp, only beating DePaul by 3 at half.

Agreed they won't be bad losses at the end of the season but we're a senior laden group too - and if we want to be an elite team this year (which many of us thought we were a short week ago) the St. John's game is one you have to win. Johnnies beat Providence in the last minute just like Pitt did. In any case, definitely hard to win on the road - it's just the way we've looked in the losses that bothers me. It's been the same things that have killed us the last 2 seasons.

Melvin killing WV, and Depaul is getting a lot of offensive rebounds and forcing a lot of turnovers. So its not just us. There are no Bad teams in the BE.
