This is bad: www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6BG0DS20101217?pageNumber=1I'm often inclined to say "boys will be boys," and give kids the benefit of the doubt. But in this case, that doesn't really apply. I'm just kind of curious how the town is divided. This seems pretty cut and dry unless there's something really, really important that we don't know.

The benefit of the doubt ends immediately as soon as the word "penetration" enters the picture.
Unless Kobe Bryant's lawyer is involved, of course.

Yeah Boz, I'm pretty much totally with you on this one. Needless to say, I don't know anything beyond what I've read here, but unless there is some serious use of literary freedom at work, and I certainly have no reason to suspect any from a reuters, and also, they tend to not jump at every opportunity to "be first" rather "right" historically. My point is that from the magnitude of the story, I tend to expect that there probably is something to this story. If so, I'm kind of surprised that it hasn't had more coverage, even though it only involves one player at a "major" school. More importantly, I more surprised that there could be any sort of split or division among the township. I'll be the first to admit that sometimes, athletic achievements by rural high schools are given ... perhaps ... greater significance on the overall scale than they might deserve. But are there really towns today of 10,000 plus people that would "split" on such an issue? I mean, don't "most" of us had/have/will have kids growing up in such schools? I must admit this one had me at a loss for words.
