Speaking of Nova, someone compare Mouph to Moses at the same stage. Skills, O, D, etc. Villanova fans didn't moan about other fans making t-shirts and signs for Mouph.

Michigan State being ranked ahead of us in the AP with 3 losses is ridiculous- they have one quality win against Washington, got blown out by Cuse, lost to UCONN when they were unranked, and squeaked by Oakland by 1 point.
How Missouri ended up 2 spots ahead of us in the AP is just baffling. ZERO wins against ranked opponents, almost got beaten by Oregon, and got taken into OT by Vanderbilt. Oh, and lost to us. Would love to hear the explanation on that one.
I think a 6 slot drop for one 3 point loss to a decent program is pretty harsh, considering our win over Missouri, and our blowout wins against numerous teams that are going to win their conferences this year. I think we should have been 11, 12 at the worst this week.

I'm with you ScreamingHoya. Falling 6 spots after a 3 pt loss on the road against Temple is a bit much. The Hoyas have had a tough schedule, if not the toughest schedule of all. And it appears we get shafted for one road loss. Don't think your traditional powers would fall as much after one loss (see Duke every year).

Okay, this is fun. Feinstein's ballot for us: Preseason- NR Week 2- NR (Temple is 11, and Maryland is 23 making him the only voter to rank them haha) Week 3-20 (46 voters had us higher, Temple 8 and he's the only voter having them that high) Week 4-11 (Temple NR ) Week 5- 9 (Temple 23, again only voter having them that high) Week 6-20 (Temple 24) So, according to this boob, we lost on the home floor of a team he once thought was the 8th best team in the country and drop 11 spots. Confirming what a moron he is, he dropped Temple for the win. With John Feinstein in the delegation, I have no doubt the US would have won the World Cup bid...

My lord this thing is hilarious.
Shouldn't people like Jon Wilner be barred from voting. Leaves Gtown off his ballot (1 of only 2 voters), Baylor (only voter), Purdue ( 1 of 3). Included on his stellar ballot: St. Mary's (1 of 2), Vanderbilt (1 of 10). Only guy with OSU below 3.
Wilner attempts to explain Baylor, who he admits is a top-25 team:
"As I written many times (in regards to my football and basketball polls), I emphasize quality wins and even quality losses. I favor teams that lose close games to top competition over teams that do nothing but beat creampuffs. For instance: St. Mary’s is unranked in the AP poll but 21st on my ballot this week. The Gaels have two losses: by one point on a neutral court to BYU, and at San Diego State — two ranked teams. In my estimation, that’s better than being undefeated against a schedule rated No. 331 (out of 345 D-I teams) by the Sagarin computer."
Uhm, so what if your team has the 6th ranked SOS and lost on the road to the 23rd RPI team with an SOS of 19? You're right Wilner, St. Mary's deserves this because they're, oh wait a sec, I gotta go to the next page, wait , oh there they are sitting comfortable with two losses and an RPI 74 with an SOS of 102. Even by his own logic, Utah State should be on his ballot since they lost to BYU and, oh wait, right, we're not a ranked team. Darn....

We sill suffer from the Ohio Hangover. Nobody believes Georgetown is consistent. On any given day we can beat a Duke or Butler or UCONN but we can also lose to anyone. At least that is the thought process. We are not getting credit for the tough schedule or the tough loss against Temple. Say Hollis has passed to Julian for the jam and we win. How high up would we have gone? Top five? I seriously doubt it. This team has a lot to prove to the Coaches and AP writers despite the quality schedule and tough win against Mizzou. Maybe a chip on the shoulder is better than none. Conference play should be the great equalizer.

More dumbfounding - although predictable with PotatoHead - is that Temple moved UP after beating an unranked Maryland team, but moved DOWN after beating the #9 team in his poll. BUM, they called him.

Makes perfect sense that they would want to rack a bunch of gimme wins up before the NCAA probation hits in February.

With a 7-4 record, Maryland at #4 in the Atlantic 11 is an outrage. I, of course, blame BUM.
