I know that this was a concern after the start of the season, but the Hoyas seem to have gotten their act together with regards to free throws, both by getting to the line more and by making them once they get there.
Through the first three games, the Hoyas made 46.4% of their FTs and only averaged 9.3 attempts.
Since then, they have shot 80.9% from the line and averaged 20.1 attempts a game. To put this in context, if the Hoyas had shot the same percentage in their first three games, they'd have the 3rd best percentage from the stripe, although they would only move up to 230th in free throw attempts per game.
I'm not sure that this year's team is going to be getting to the line much more than they have been, due to their emphasis on 3 pointers and lack of a post game, but if they continue to capitalize on their opportunities at an 80% clip, they'll still be in the top 30% of teams in terms of points scored from the free throw line despite their comparative lack of opportunities.

Moses is 100% from the line. Apparently he listens to the radio.

Julian' free throw shooting looks markedly improved. All the big men: Nate, Henry, Jerrelle, Moses all have really good strokes from the line.

I no longer cringe when someone fouls Julian in the act of shooting. His stroke isn't pretty to watch, but it has been pretty darn effective of late. He must have put a lot of work in. Good stuff!

Agreed. He's made 16 of his last 20 free throws. Pretty solid for someone shoots free throws like he's shooting darts.

hey whatever works for ya. I don't care if he shoots granny style as long as it keeps going in at a high rate.

No comment on Julian either. I have not seen his free throw shooting at all this year and cannot comment on how good he has been to date or what we should expect going forward.

Moses being 100% is quite funny to me. after hearing the jt jr quote i expected a someone more awkward running down the floor than roy hibbert as a freshman...and B someone who hit the backboard and airballed consistently from the charity stripe.
pleasently surprised with both.

Joey... agree with regard to Moses and his free throws. His stroke looks great to me for a big.
