Crap, it's at noon?
I guess I probably should have known that already. Still sucks though.

MASN for Thursday's game--if we win--it's on ESPN-U rest of way--but don't panic if you don't see games on Saturday--tournament is Thursday, Friday, off day--then Sunday. Coastal Carolina is well coached and will be tough game. Saw them in their League title game last year and liked their team. Really like this tournament for the team because it resembles NCAA's in aspect--you are Major conference team playing in arena pulling for underdog (and in Hoyas case so often the case--the LOCAL underdogs.....) and you have to deal with the 50-50 calls going against you, etc......so it's a good challenge for the team.

Agreed, will be a nice pressure situation for the young guys, and good experience for Nate, Vee, Henry et. al.

rooting for a gtown / nc st final. State has a nice squad this year. Anybody remember Avie Lester trying to intimidate Alonzo in our 89 matchup?

Hope Julian got better in a hurry and makes the trip down.
Could navigate the first 2 rounds without him (those games will NOT be easy, anyway) but we need the big guy.
I wouldn't be surprised if Mason comes out of the other side.

Maybe they'll be distracted because an alum is now an NFL starting QB (Tyler Thigpen is starting for the Dolphins after both Chads got injured).
I miss Pete Strickland. He was always a show unto himself when we used to play them under Esh.

I remember a few years ago we played these guys at what was then the MCI Center. Anybody since then figured out what the hell a Chanticleer is?

A chanticleer (pronounced shont-a-clear) is a rooster, which is a nod to their prior relationship with the University of South Carolina (the Gamecocks).
Kind of like the Old Dominion's nickname from the days when ODU was a branch campus of William & Mary (the "Monarchs").

BBall alum and NASCAR Nationwide driver Brendan Gaughan told me via the HHC twitter that he's probably going to be at the game so keep an eye out for him if you're there!

Also mentioned Wofford who is in the tournament as well--so Georgetown could play 3 of the teams who could be "this year's Butler"--know they are playing 2 of them for certain--but have to WIN to face Wofford.
