two thumbs up, def a little hokey but juicy love for what we all love most about our program - the fact that it neither begins nor ends with basketball

Hadn't heard this before: Either you're being sarcastic or you didn't hear Jay Bilas endlessly mention that "Jonathan Wallace was admitted to GEORGETOWN LAW SCHOOL! He's just a brilliant kid that never makes a poor decision on the court" in 2008. But true, I knew he deferred enrollment when he was admitted but didnt know he was actually starting this fall.

Nice job! He really captured what Georgetown Hoops is all about!
And, BTW, I was unaware that Jon Wallace had actually ENROLLED in GU Law. But congrats to him too! Wow... playing pro ball OVERSEAS!!!... AND going to GU Law! Incredible.

I think we all knew that he had been admitted. That he is actually enrolling now is news to me, maybe not to others. Certainly, and easily, possible I had missed that somewhere. EDIT: SirSaxa beat me to it, but glad I am not the only one who didn't know. EDIT2: It appears I didn't actually read your entire post either. I pass this off to my increasing senility.

can't find it but I feel like in some posted article about him this summer he is quoted as saying something about classes when he was back in DC, left me with the impression he might have started already but this is the first direct confirm I have seen. as a much older current law student, it would be quite a trip to go up against him in Mock Trial, Moot Court, etc.

Actually I thought the best part of the article was III's discussion of how the point of the program is to turn gifted child athletes into men. At the end of the day, only one team is going home without some level of regret regarding its on-the-court product, and everyone else searches for supplemental comfort from things incidental to Ws and Ls. We run a good, clean program with outstanding young men, and I'm always proud to hear III focus discussions about GU basketball on how we produce young men who are prepared for life after the ball stops bouncing. Bravo.

I remember a similar article about the 'Cuse recently. Something about molding young men into recidivist criminals...

Either you're being sarcastic or you didn't hear Jay Bilas endlessly mention that "Jonathan Wallace was admitted to GEORGETOWN LAW SCHOOL! We all know he was admitted two years ago. We also know he hasn't been attending for the past two years. Now we've learned he's going. Got it? I'm a 1L at GULC and I haven't seen him around campus. He's also not in the Law School internal directory. Maybe they mean next fall?

Wallace is the kind of player who will be remembered 50 years from now. His stamp is on the most significant games of the last 20 years. He is missed tremendously on the floor.

Is it too soon to once again state my oft-repeated desire that Jonathan Wallace become a graduate assistant when he does enroll in law school?
Well, too bad! 'Cause I'm saying it anyway!
;D
