Great article and great quotes from Julian. Let's hope the team follows through. But it sounds liek they know exactly what they need to do to be successful.

Agreed, liked the article a lot since Vaughn has always been an under-appreciated member of the starting 5 (both by fans and the media). Excited to see how he's improved once the year begins!

Coach Thompson says its presumptuous to say 4 returning starters will start this season Seems like that would imply he's moving Jason Clark to the bench, considering Austin & Chris starting is a no-brainer, and he said Vaughn would be the starting center. I guess that leaves the 3&4 open for new starters. Thompson? Sims? Lubbick? Benimon?

Not necessarily I think his point is just that Everyone has to earn their starting role every year. Nothing is guaranteed.
"BTW...Hollis Thompson put on about ten pounds"

"BTW...Hollis Thompson put on about ten pounds" He def could have meant that although he's quote in the article: "Julian is going to be our starting center," Thompson said. And has stated in a few interviews that everything this year is going to start with Chris & Austin, and that he believes Austin should be the front-runner for BE POY so it sounds like he's pretty sure in 3 of his starters.

Moses Ayegba appears to have developed a jumper as well. Still don't expect much from him this year

Great article and great quotes from Julian. I like the one in which he says he worked out a lot with Big Roy! The photos of ROY look unbelievable! Anything remotely like that for Julian would be awesome!

My guess is that its just a little gaming by JTIII keeping the fight for starting spots hot

As always, I will suggest "Goodbye Horses," by Q Lazzarus. But wear clothes, Henry. Real people clothes too, not some outfit made out of human skin. Or not. Might as well scare the bejeezus out of the other team. If not that, than "Superman," by The Kinks.

REM's "Superman" comes to mind I am I am I am Regular Man, and I can do anything

“This year’s team, I think we’re much deeper. We have to continue to get better at all those spots, but I think there’s a comfort level with more people. It’s one of those years where it’s your job, and it’s the fans’ job to figure out who the starters are. I don’t think it’s going to matter. I think with each game and with the different strengths among the personnel we have, the best group for Game A may not be the best group for Game B.”
“Do I know who’s going to start? No. Do I care who’s going to start? No. And it may be a different group that finishes every game.”
