If it's good baseball--and think it will be--why wouldn't fans watch? Minnesota and Atlanta weren't huge markets--but that was a classic World Series with exciting games and great baseball.
Going to enjoy seeing the new blood and hope it goes 7 games.

Oh, I don't really care. I just kinda like that we have an all-west World Series this year. The East Coast media likes to think that the whole world revolves around them, and this time, it does not.

I'm just glad the Yankees lost.
I'll be rooting for the Rangers since I have no great love for the Giants, but if the Giants win, so be it. Do away with the Curse of Coogan's Bluff.

Well, that was unexpected...
Lee vs. Lincecum turns into a slugfest. Sloppy too, six errors between both teams. Giants essentially blow out the Rangers, 11-7, to take Game 4, although they give up three in the bottom of the ninth.
I'm glad the Giants offense finally blew up. Obviously our strength is with our pitching, but our offense, while inconsistent, can do this from time to time. People describing the Giants' offense as weak annoys me just as much as people describing the Hoyas' Princeton style offense as slow and plodding. I'm just glad we were able to shut them up for one game.
A good start, but a long way to go in this series...

Why did Ron Washington play Vlad in OF? That was a huge mistake--and especially the RF in SF--which is a tough field to play.

RDF, I hate to agree with you but I was wondering the same thing. I figured that he would want the bat in the lineup, but that LF would make a lot more sense. Having Hamilton in CF helps a lot but still, RF in Frisco is tough. And even though Vlad still has a good arm, even in a uniform park, his range is below average. He's much more of a fit for LF.

I don't think even Ron Washington dreamed Vlad would be THAT bad.

Wow. A taut pitching duel, 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th, looks like it's gonna go to B-Weez in the ninth to preserve a 2-0 lead.
Oops.
I haven't seen a meltdown like Derek Holland's since watching the movie Major League. Just bizarre. 13 pitches, 12 balls, most not even close. Kudos to the Giants for being patient, but the Rangers bullpen just imploded. A seven run two out rally. Really took all the drama out of the game.
As a Giants fan, really cannot complain, but gotta be disappointing for the rest of the TV viewers. Still, major props go to Matt Cain - a masterful performance, still has not given up an earned run in the postseason in 3 starts and over 20 innings - and Edgar Renteria - 3 RBI's, including home run that put us on the board, also playing with a torn bicecp tendon.
Also, crazy scene outside AT&T Park, wasn't fortunate enough to get in the park, but it sure looked like pandemonium inside too.
On to Texas. Games 1 and 2 were so weird, I really don't know what to expect in Game 3. Things can change quickly, but Giants in a good spot.

SF held serve. Hope Texas does the same, since I want to see a 7th game.

der, I sure hope so. I'm kind of pulling for the Rangers, but most importantly, I want 6 or 7 games for the greedy fan in me.

Boy, nothing gets me pumped up for Game 3 of the World Series like... Justin Bieber? Had to switch away for a little bit.

Texas wins. Still on schedule for a game 7! Not necessarily after tonight! Giants win Game 4 to take a 3-1 series advantage. Just one more win to the franchise's first World Series win since 1954, and first since moving to San Francisco in 1958. When I was 21 years old, I was a junior at Georgetown and spending most of my time getting drunk, going to Hoyas basketball games, hitting on girls, sleeping through classes and cramming for finals and papers. When Madison Bumgarner was 21 years old, he was the starting pitcher for Game 4 for the World Series, where he pitched 8 scoreless innings allowing only 3 hits on the road. Talk about impressive. This could be the start of something very special with this kid.
