Personally, I think this is the most important 7 game stretch of the season. Fortunately we don't have many long road or home stretches, so as far as our competition goes, I think this is the hardest.

Look out for a scheduling surprise om the open weekend of January 22-23 or the Hoyas have an 8 day vacation between the 18th & 26th Last time something like this happened during the season it ended up being Southern-New Orleans (1999-00). I'll guess that the game won't be filled and someone will complain about it in March when GU gets a 7 seed instead of a 6.

I don't understand why they left the revenue for the 15th home game off the table. That's a half million for season tix alone.

I don't understand why they left the revenue for the 15th home game off the table. That's a half million for season tix alone. Not a half million. What, 7,000 season tickets @ $30, less the guarantee? Maybe the cost of Verizon's rental didn't even justify it...or, more likely, no one willing to wait that long to sign the deal.

What's with this neutral floor nonsense vs Mizzou? Yeah, Kansas City is real neutral. I hope we're getting a home and home out of this. Maybe we can schedule a neutral floor return match in Fairfax.

Can't imagine that game at Syracuse won't be televised nationally...

Perhaps the Charleston organizers offered us cash to entice us into being a marquee participant in an unsexy tournament or perhaps we are getting guarantee money for playing in Kansas City (or maybe both). Either way I highly doubt we are leaving any revenue on the table

Villanova should have some quality opponents in the pre-season NIT; those games are not counted in the front page's analysis, as stated. Also, apart from Temple, the big 5 is not very strong, is it?

no, definitely not. i'm very curious to see just how good temple will be this year. we play against them on december 4, which is a saturday. that should be a great road game. their arena (liacouras center) is small, but has a fun atmosphere. i saw a temple v richmond game during the 2008-09 season. i believe the score was 16-12 at the half. most amazing half of basketball i have ever seen (not in a good way). things have improved for temple..

Anyone know of a calendar of the schedule that can be loaded to Outlook or Google calendar? The one from Google Calendar's sports listing doesn't seem to have this coming season. Check on GUHoyas.com for schedule downloads to Outlook:www.guhoyas.com/ot/schedule-download.htmlDoesn't look like they have the 2010-11 schedule up there yet though.

I assume the Dec 18th game is at Verizon, and no game on campus this year ? (tried 'search' no threads returned)
