I think Porter projects as a 3. Like RDF said, Mizzou is in the driver's seat.

Brandon and the Miller School are 1-1 after last night's 73-70 win. No stats have been provided yet--but in opening game loss he had 8 pts, 5 boards, 1 steal, 1 block. They play again tonight and then again on Friday this week.

Bolden and Miller School got another win last night--this time blowout fashion with a 93-51 victory to move to 2-1 on season. They play Friday as well--but still have only put up the stats for their opening game loss-so will post his numbers from past 2 victories when they are posted.

Bolden and The Miller School are playing an interesting game this Saturday, 4:30 PM at Wakefield against Episcopal High School (Alexandria) as part of the LIfe and Breath Foundation event. After last Saturday's Utah State win, JT III his ownself showed up at Episcopal to watch/stayed for the entirety of Episcopal's game against Germantown Academy PA. I believe JTIII is checking out two Episcopal juniors: Arnaud Adala-Moto (6'5ish guard/small forward), who was briefly mentioned on the board earlier this year, and a transfer from Chantilly, Kethan Savage (6'3" combo guard). Won't be surpised if someone from Georgetown (in addition to just an alum like me) is there to see this one, too, to see how Bolden will play with a huge size advantage (Episcopal's tallest player is Adala-Moto, and he doesn't play center) and how Adala-Moto and Savage do against the kind of inside presence Bolden brings. If anyone else is going to the game, look for a, uh, "middle-aged" guy a few rows behind the Episcopal bench in an EHS cap and you'll have some company . . .

Bolden's stats for past 3 games (2 wins/loss last night) aren't up yet. Miller school lost last night by 3 pts.

Bolden had only 4 points against Episcopal Saturday and maybe 3 boards, limited by two early fouls and then a third late in first half, as Episcopal crushed Miller School 81-53 -- which wasn't as close as even that final score. JT III was there for second half of game, where Bolden played only sparingly because Episcopal just was running the Miller School right out of the gym. When Bolden was in in second half, Miller School's coach refused to go zone to protect him or to slow tempo of the game, and in a few isolation plays Episcopal's 6'5" forward/gaurd Adala-Moto just blew right past Bolden in one-on-one match ups from the top of the key. I don't want to read too much into what I saw due to the fouls and the horrific coaching by Miller School, but suffice it to say anyone watching this game -- and I talked to a few pretty knowledgeable people during it -- sure noticed Adala-Moto (16 points, a monster on the glass at both ends) and came away scratching their heads about BB . . .

Bolden's scoring stats through first five games below (high is 10; averaging 6.8). Based on what I saw against Episcopal, this low production could stem from being used as a back-to-the-basket 5 and guards who are looking to jack it early and often and not pass at all -- plus a coach who doesn't have a clue how to get them to play team-oriented ball. Then again, would've liked to see BB demand the ball and/or go and get it on misses (of which there appear to be oodles). Maybe what we have here is a real misfit between this team/coach and BB's skills that don't show what he can do in a different setting (e.g. AAU ball). Will love to hear what anyone else who sees him play during the year thinks . . . www.maxpreps.com/athletes/aNKzr_EFHEKwQ38cyQbUjQ/basketball-winter-10-11/stats-brandon-bolden.htm

2.8 rebounds a game is also a concern.

Wow - those stats are definitely disheartening. It's not like he's playing great competition, either. Yikes.

It looks like they only have rebound stats for 2 games, so he's averaging 7 rebounds a game in those, and had who-knows-how-many rebounds in the other 3 games.

I trust the staff. He has a lot of raw tools from what I've seen.

If the staff saw enough to offer and accept his verbal in the fall of his JR year, I'm not too worried.

can finally get a tiny glimpse of him in action.. www.gomiller.org/basketball.htmscroll down a little. At least seems to fit the description of long and athletic in that 30 second clip.

That reel was impressive as far athlete goes. He needs to have a breakout summer.

I read on this board that Bolden's game compares to Chris Bosh. That's probably a huge stretch at this point, but Bolden is a dead ringer for Bosh looks- and physique-wise.

I like that he seemed more excited/happy about throwing the alley-oop pass to his teammate than he did cashing in on his own. His dunks were just another day at the office, but he took some pleasure in setting up his teammate.

That hair reminds me of an '04 freshman Predator who went on to become BE POY.

What is going on with BB? Can anybody who has seen him play comment?
I mean, even if he truly is getting horribly mismanaged... if you are 6'10 and have any skills at all, you can put up 10 and 10 in high school games with pretty much no effort just from rebounding.
Is he not getting any minutes?
