I am ambivalent.
I think another Northeast football member strenghtens the Big East.
I think attendance is an issue. Last weekend's Mayor's Cup game in Philly- Nova and Temple, at Lincoln Financial Field, essentially a home game for both, drew 22,000.
Connecticut made the leap, but they are the only big-time football in the state (sorry,Yale) and they had a stadium they'd built to woo Kraft and the Patriots without a tenant.

I don't see Temple as more logical than 'Nova. Nova is already in the BE for everything else, so seems logical to add them for football. Nova football has also been as good or better than Temple for a number of years. Barely lost to Temple this year, but I believe they beat Temple last year. And the attendance problem applies to both schools.
