Don't start this unless you have 15 minutes to kill. Demetrius Hunter cracks the top 20 in a blue and gray jersey, and a certain seven-foot center from Yaounde, Cameroon makes a more ignominous appearance. As lic might say, wowowow :oooowwwowow Any list that does not include this dunk... ....is no list at all.

As i do not have the time to watch, is Ewing's hook cram over Sampson included? No. Nor is his son's sick, sick, ridiculously sick slam over Jared Dudley. Hakeem Warrick gets two though, one of which wasn't technically a dunk.

Personally, I thought the Iverson dunk (which was given honorable mention) vs. UConn was better, but because it was included, I won't complain.
So what was the best dunk in Hoya history?
Of course, this list gave no bonus points for historical significance, but if we were to include that, then Michael Graham's nasty dunk against Houston would almost certainly rate at the top. But on style points alone, I can't recall one better than Mark Tillmon over Bimbo Coles, circa 1988.

IMHO.....ewing's dunk on jim master against Kentucky was the best dunk i have ever seen. It took place in the FF and was actually called a travel....nonetheless it gave us all the momentum we needed to take down Bowie, Turpin and the rest of the wildcats. Ewing took flight.

Roy's dunk on Notre Dame at the end of the game in III's first season, I still think, set the team up for success that year and ensured that the program was moving in the right direction.

I got the feeling that the real title of this list should be "The 50 Greatest Dunks of All Time (that we could find YouTube clips of)" Entertaining nonetheless. No. Nor is his son's sick, sick, ridiculously sick slam over Jared Dudley. The best part about that was that Dudley had talked all that trash about the Big East versus the ACC and how they had better athletes. PEJr told Jessie before the game that, given the opportunity, he was going to dunk on Dudley. Man, did he ever. Jeff's putback in that game is pretty impressive too.

Can we just all agree that was one of the most satisfying wins of the JTIII era?

The dunks in the 15 minute clip seemed mostly to be of one variety - the running one-handed facial. I appreciate the effort it took to collect that many dunks, but to say those are the Top 50 ever is a real stretch.
FWIW, I didn't think Iverson's or Ewing Jr.' dunks were all that special, and neither worthy of Top 50 status. Awesome for us Hoya fans when they happened, but Top 50 all time??? Uh uh.
Though I doubt it was ever committed to film, Victor Page had a dunk at McDonough as a freshman during one of the two pre-season games that probably had 40 of the Top 50 dunks beat. If anyone was there and remembers, this was the game that Spike Lee was in attendance. It must have been late October/early November 1995. Page cam flying down the left side on a fast break and seemingly jumped out of the rafters with a running one-handed lefty jam that rocked the house. It was unbelievable. Although it was only a pre-season game, the energy in McDonough was electric that night - the anticipation for a great 1995-96 season was very high.
