that all but dashed our hopes for dancing.
Losing to this red hot Villanova team is disappointing, but it wouldn't have been as big a deal if we had taken care of business against a truly awful SJU team (did anybody watch them against Duke yesterday?)
The loss to the Redmen pretty much proved that despite our nice start, we're not an NCAA team -yet.
So it's a downer, but try to remember the expectations we all had at the start of the year. JT3 still has the program headed in the right direction, if not the team right now.

I agree. That SJU loss was tough to take. Saying that, I thought we might be able to beat Nova today, but we got the same old start. We have to start scoring more than 20 in the 1st half. It seems as if Green didn't have his game today. Were they on him all game?

they were doubling Green a lot of the time, but he helped them out by being VERY passive. Hopefully he'll grow into a more aggressive player - this team can't win against good competition unless he's very involved.

I agree, that SJU loss was devestating to our NCAA aspirations. It's time we take stock and realize just how well these young guys played this year. We still have a realistic chance of getting 17,18 and maybe even 19 wins this season. Anyone who told me that in November, I would have thought to be an idiot.
Unfortunately, Green is now playing like a freshman. He is a bit timid right now, but he is not playing the RU or WVU frontline right so we need to recognize his youth and give him some slack. As he matures and gains confidence he is going to be great against every team we play regardless of personnel. It would be nice to see him aggressive against UConn, even if unsuccessful. As long as the effort is there I will have no complaints. The same goes for Hibbs.
Since we will have nothing to lose, I hope they are aggressive and see the benefits (foul trouble, points, intimidation, etc.) of playing fearless in the blocks.
