Maybe just me but I just wish Twitter would go the way of Myspace and just go away. If Nerlens comes, great. If not, we have some pretty good talent waiting to hop on the court.

From Pete Thamel at NYT via Twitter around 6:45 pm today: @petethamelnyt: Heard from a few places today that Georgetown is picking up a lot of steam in the @nerlensnoel3 derby. I'm not sure Nerlens is a fan of Pete Thamel, but at least he must have some sources. I won't get my hopes up given there's a new rumor every hour....

If NN doesn't decide within a week or so, this thread is going to hit 100 pages (gotta expect at least 3 pages post-decision). Expect to see UNC back in the mix before it's all said and done. Maybe even UCLA. "It's Syracuse coming down the stretch! Wait, no, Kentucky is in to the lead...wait, here comes Georgetown from the back off the pack, Georgetown surging, Calipari trying to hold him off, and by a nose it's...."Seriously. No one knows. And in two days we've heard of 3 different schools that either are "picking up steam" or have a lot of "smoke" around them. I only recently started following recruiting...is it always this erratic?

Why do people get upset about Kentucky doing the 1 and done thing? That's not the issue that is a problem. It's HOW they land them that I've got a problem with and rules are in place to punish that--but are rarely enforced and certainly are never enforced when the actions take place. . . . 1 and done is not illegal. As long as guys go to class and make progress towards being Sophomores academically, then fine by me. As a fan, I enjoy seeing the talented players in college even if for 1 year (I prefer the Straight to NBA/ 2 year minimum rule if you sign LOI-but so does Calipari). I agree with this sentiment entirely.

Thamel is hoping he commits to us so he can write an article full of innuendo indicting our program to distract from all the actual facts indicting Cuse's program. If NN commits to Cuse, he might actually have to write something negative about them. Who am I kidding.....

Disappointed that Noel is not part of the game. It would be great to see him as a Hoya if only for one year.

Zo is about to speak during the game. Hopefully he makes a plug for Georgetown basketball He essentially did with his life after basketball emphasis. Wonder where he picked that up? Literally couldn't have a better person to speak to these young players. Hopefully, Nerlens was listening. Alonzo spoke glowingly about how important his 4 years of college were to him. Additionally, he frowned upon people with "hidden agendas" influencing these kids.

"use his education as a stepping stone" and discussing the importance of education and the poor reputation of people who leave college early while giving up a free education... I love you Zo but wish you would have said GEORGETOWN. I guess everyone knows that though

Telep update was worthless, as I expected. He's more a talent evaluator than a scoop guy, so never expect to get anything breaking from him really.

About the only good thing that's come out of this game is Dajuan Coleman looks like a slug.
