Some of that write-up sounded a little bit like Chris Wright in high school.

Buzz is on him early. Don't know if I see York at Marquette though. Also, hopefully he does come check us out. I was a little disappointed to see he was definitely visiting ND and Marquette, and that we were only a 'probably'. Good things happen when we get people to visit.

He does look like an incredible scorer, and if he does develop as a point guard as the article mentions he hopes to do, then he is a seriously elite prospect. I think that he should be a high priority.

York will be playing with Tony Parker this weekend at the Kansas Invitational---Parker has been floating on teams--played with GA Stars, Atlanta Celtics, and now will show up for Compton Magic as Isaiah Austin takes the weekend off. Interesting that Parker would do that with a Nike EYBL event taking place in Dallas this weekend-which makes me think he's done with Stars and will go with Celtics from here on out.
York continues to mention Hoyas--but getting a lot of attention from UConn lately and list of offers grew tenfold after his Spring showing so far-so hope the Hoyas have offered/lock up the unofficial from him soon.

RDF I read your post and you mentioned a Nike Elite BBall tournament in Dallas this weekend . I live in Dallas . Is there any team or player you would recommend I go see . thanks for your input I'd go and just enjoy the games--but if you want to see committed Hoya Brandon Bolden play--he's on Team Florida--along with Hoya target Allerick Freeman, and I'll try to help you with some names/teams but it's AAU--always subject to change and they don't announce names after baskets. If you go to 5starbasketball.com--they have AAU rankings (ridiculous) and it's helpful site--they have rosters up--but again--who shows up is subject to change, etc.... Kyle Anderson is on The NJ Playaz Troy Williams of Boo Williams (#5) Bee Jay Anya Team Takeover (#23)--they also have Jerami Grant and James Robinson Dvauntes Smith Rivera in on Spiece Elite Jarnell Stokes of Memphis Team (not sure if William Shaquille Goodwin will be joining the team again--he played 1st EYBL event for them but he's a member of Atlanta Celtics--can't miss him if you see that team 6'9 kid who is mobile and dominant--he's also on cover of 5star Magazine which is shown on the site--wears #12 in that pic) Nerlens Noel BABC (check him out for your own enjoyment as well as seeing why I'd say he'd be #1 recruit for Georgetown overall)--they also have stud Sf/SG Wayne Selden Tyus Jones--only a 9th grader but I think one of the best PG in country and was last year too--Howard Pulley AAU--last year in 1st game at Peach Jam 17U--he dropped 27 and 12 assists and he hadn't even taken a step in HS other then to play games on varsity as an 8th grader. CIA Bounce (Canadian Team) has Sim Bhullar (you won't miss his 7'5 behind), Andrew Wiggins (an amazing athlete who is only a FR), Anthony Bennett-a strong 6'8 PF and a PG Tyler Ennis Hoyas have showed some interest in. Off top of my head those are some guys to watch---but I'll find link to the rankings and link it for you.

Have fun and see whatever you can--and we all appreciate any updates/observations you have from the event.

This kid sounds really good. I want a quick athletic guard with good ballhandling skills. Whether that's York or Christon, I'm not too particular.

according to accounts he's a knock-down shooter....would hope this would be all we need to know...
would rather get this kid based on literally nothing other than that

Thanks for the tip on the AAU action in Dallas this weekend. It's actually in Frisco where I live so how can I not go? Plus there's a great Irish pub in the vicinity, right across the street from Pizza Hut Park where FC Dallas plays. I'll do my best to report.

For those of you who live in Dallas area and go to the event---Tony Parker IS there with GA Stars---he didn't go to Kansas and play with York's team and Gabe York didn't take trip to Lawrence this weekend-he stayed home sick-so no visits for them this weekend.

In latest Scout update, notes that now that he is healthy he wants to visit Kansas, Marquette, Notre Dame, Washington, and UConn. No mention of Georgetown.
Makes sense as it sounds like the 2012 guards that we are really on are Semaj Christon, D'vauntes Smith-Rivera, and James Robinson.

i wouldn't be so sure. I'd take the scout update with a grain of salt.

Hope we're still high on York's list - he's my favorite guard of this class that we're on.
I think York, Kyle Anderson and DSR are on a different level than the other guys (and Christon also apparently has grade issues), so would love to get one of those 3. Seems like RDF thinks DSR isn't going to happen, though, and both York and Anderson seem like they are going to be tough gets.
