Tomorrow is the first day of the spring signing period.
Will Aaron and Moses sign on the dotted line?
There will be a number of announcements tomorrow of where players are going including the #1 players in the 2010 and 2011 classes ( Knight and Gilchrist).
Thoughts on the spring signing period for Georgetown and other schools.

Expect Crean to maintain watch over the fax machine, but all he'll find is more TPS reports.

It sickens me that the NCAA will sit idly by while Cal buys another 5 recruits today to replace the 5 he's losing. What a joke. He needs to be banned for life.

I wouldn't put the blame solely on him on this one. The NCAA and the kids (and their parents) make it happen. Lets hope Patterson leaves and he has to start from scratch next season. Sooner or later, the Kentucky fans will get tired of the show during the regular season and the disappointment in the post-season.

Predictions for the next couple days/weeks:
1. Moses and Aaron sign on the dotted-line. 2. Monroe decides the Hoyas need another championship banner and returns. 3. Kentucky lands Knight, Thornton (Clemson decommit), Terrence Ross (Maryland decommit), either Leslie or Jones, and maybe Elijah Justice (poaching him from Louisville). 4. Zeigler commits to his father at CMU (not really a prediction, I think it's a done deal). 5. McCallum sees what Zeigler has done and commits to his dad at Detroit. 6. Selby commits to Kansas. And while I'm at it, I say Lamb goes there as well. 7. Luke Cothron (NC State decommit) commits to Bama.

McCalum playing for his dad.
How does stuff like that work with no contact periods and stuff like that?

Gilcrhist and Knight welcome to Blue Nation! Call Coach Cal whatever you want to call him but there are plenty of coaches with deep pocket$ is college basketball but he keeps getting it done on the recruiting end. Come on down Leslie and Jones!

Wherever he coaches he turns it into D-League situation...kids display their skills for a season with the promise of them being able to walk around campus for a few months then the ability to turn pro. Memphis and now UK are his personal D-league franchise. The NCAA turns a blind eye cause he blatantly circumvents the rules. The parents of the kids are as much to blame; they allow their children to be pimped. He'll bring in five or six more over and over until the allegations come; soon to be followed by sanctions. He'll then move onto another spot and start again.

Brandon Knight AND Michael Gilchrist to UK. Wow. Talk about reloading. Tough loss for Nova on Gilchrist.

Brandon Knight AND Michael Gilchrist to UK. Wow. Talk about reloading. Tough loss for Nova on Gilchrist. Gilchrist to UK has been done for over 2 years now. If Calipari was at Memphis--he'd have been there. The Nova talk was just that--and everyone--including Jay Wright knew the kid was going to Kentucky. Wright--and other schools just kept in touch in case Cal got UK on probation quickly or bolted for NBA.

Agree with RDF. Well perhaps I felt Nova had more of a chance but I realized the clear favorite was Kentucky.
And while UK is reloading its a bit misleading to put Knight and Gilchrist in the same sentence considering the two will likely never play alongside one another.

BTW--how awful was Adrian Branch for those that caught ESPNU's coverage? He was out of touch on some issues to the point that I honestly wondered if they taped segments last week prior to the live coverage? Mentioned Ed Davis and Lance Stephenson as "returning" and both are gone--signed with agents, said Tony Mitchell was like Al Horford-which is ridiculous--he's more like Shawn Marion--and Mitchell might be going way of Latavious Williams due to horrific transcripts (one of main reasons Georgetown didn't push harder), compared Cory Joseph to Scottie Reynolds--not good comparison (think Marcus Williams of UConn), and was just so misplaced it wasn't funny.
Bruno Kirby aka Paul Biancardi compared to Kendall Marshall to Jason Kidd---Marshall will help UNC and Biancardi's point was correct--the Heels need a guy to distribute, but one of the few things Branch actually got right--"footspeed of lack of, will be key due to other teams going right at him and getting up on him". Jason Kidd still gets anywhere he wants on court and when he was younger--good luck stopping that blur.
Georgetown's class is ranked 19th by the network, has 2 top 100 recruits, and they got ZERO mentions--not in "other noteable signees in Big East", not in the show, nothing. However, we got to hear about UCLA's horribly overrated class about 10 times, UConn's group--including Roscoe Smith highlights and Biancardi talking of the "great deep shooter" Roscoe is--when in fact Roscoe would tell you that is aspect he needs to work on most--his shooting.
Just a complete nightmare of a show in terms of lacking knowledge about players, making absurd statements, and having Harrison Barnes on for the 10th time--despite fact Barnes committed in Fall.
