Sounds like Capel wants to go back to the ACC - either Wake or Clemson are both open now. I think Clemson's AD is too cheap to hire anybody but the interim coach right now though. The Baylor coach is on the short list supposedly. With the job he's done at Baylor, Scott Drew should be on everyone's short list.

He's done a good job but I remember reading that the rest of the B12 coaching fraternity (particularly Rick Barnes IIRC) dislike him due to excessive negative recruiting. I think it may have come up in the Latavious epic recruiting saga

From a distance that Gaudio firing looks idiotic. The guy took over the program after a last and near-last place finish in the ACC, he is in the NCAA two straight years, wins a game in the tournament, and is fired. This year's team lost two players to the NBA draft.
I read the articles about late-season meltdowns - I don't get it on the face of it at all.

The WFU administration made mistake to pull the plug so quickly. They again had a Top 10 recruiting class coming in to play for Gaudio. Late season meltdowns are allowable when you are constantly coaching a team that is starting one and dones and losing guys to the NBA every year. He never really had a stable roster from one year to the next in his 3 seasons. Very reactionary by WFU and surprising.

Since Wake had a top 10 recruiting class, who will grab them up. They had a great power forward in the class

WTF, The Belarusse Assassin isn't a recruit, he was already there. Looks like he will have to find another school to transfer to. The new coach, whoever he is, can't possibly keep his scholarship in place.

Clemson has a 7'2" Romanian Assasin who has ridden the pine the past 2 seasons. Maybe he would be transferring now?
Seriously though, there are rumors that Devin Booker and Noel Johnson (McD's AA) might be transferring out now.
