Message Boards matter to recruitsThis is an important enough matter that it deserves its own thread. Regarding Hoyas recruiting prospect Moses Abraham from the IU Board: MileHiIU:"Think what you want. We saw that Vander not only was reading the message boards, but also was upset enought by what he was seeing on them, to allow statements he made about them to become public. And we have already seen that Moses was impressed enough about the passion being showered his way on this and TOS, to not only mention it to Boncore, but wanted Boncore to let us know about how good he felt about it." IUBossFan: If Vander isn't enough of an example you might want to read up on Dan Werner. He was originally a NCSU recruit, but decommitted after he and his family read messages on the NCSU boards attacking him and his ability..IndyOldSchool:"Its interesting that Abraham mentioned to the Hoosier Nation mod and the Rivals mod that the attention on the IU message boards was not going unnoticed and it was playing a part in his decision."mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=170&f=2353&t=5724467&p=96You already started a thread on this topic:hoyatalk2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=21927and you posted this same exact post in it and the Moses Abraham thread already.

Well, as much as I am in favor of open discussion on message boards, I am also in favor of maximizing our abilities to recruit and win games.
We should start a fresh Moses Abraham appreciation thread and fill it with butterflies and rainbows.

Moses,
Georgetown develops big men. Georgetown's fans love making signs (we won't just hold up signs of your face...we're smart enough to come up with clever signs. The Monroe Doctrine. Our Moses spends 4 years on the Hilltop, the 11th commandment: thou shall not enter our paint, etc.) and showing their love for the players, a group who enjoy spending time together, who support each other after big wins and tough losses and personal struggles (Austin's diabetes).
I won't say anything bad about Indiana, but trust us when we say we're rabid fans too, we're proud of our team, and we've got a much brighter future. BE A PART OF IT.

1) those situations are different because we're not over here attacking moses. 2) and I'd like to see the article where he actually mentions the IU message boards.

Unfortunatley to access the IU Rivals news/interviews you have to pay $ for that service. Which I'm not going to do. The IU messageboard is free however.

the sense i get is that the indiana writer said something about the message board buzz to the handler and the handler said something like hey that's cool and then the indiana beat writer writes that moses is overwhelmed by indiana's fan support. That's the way these things normally work.
