I'll tell you one thing - I hope Gtown gets the whistle that Nova got today. it always seems like 1, 2, and 3 seeds in tight first round games get the calls toward the end. not sure if it's something sinister or what, but it's definitely something i've observed first-hand and on TV for about the past 10 years.

Nova got the "Scotty whistle" today. We have seen it for 4 years. Offhand, I think their entire "comeback" in the last 5 minutes was Reynolds taking dives and going to the line.
The end of that game calls for an RDF rant.

Haven't noticed that outside of today's Villanova game - usually it is the underdogs who garner all the neutral crowd support and get the officials behind them as a result of the crowd.

The end of that game calls for an RDF rant. Reynolds is one of the most overrated players in Big East history. The fact he's such a horrific athlete and goes to the FT line due to his drunk, stumbling, drives is pathetic. Guy is on his back more then a prostitute or for the PC bunch--he's on the floor more then Cinderella and yet he gets calls. Jay Wright's got one ugly team to watch--they foul, whine at refs for calls, and then hit a couple of 3's. Wright is the "coach K" of Big East though--the suits at CBS love him and fact Nova got a #2 seed is embarrassing. WVU should've gotten that-but why would beating Nova in Philly to end year, and winning BET matter, when Nova had entered NCAA's losing 5 of last 7??

The referees in the Villanova-Robert Morris game should be arrested for GRAND LARCENY. Pathetic. In the last 4 minutes of regulation those referees should have been riding on the side of a big black sedan, wearing fedoras and shooting the R Morris players & coaches with TOMMYGUNS. It was akin to a mafia hit. I hope the Robert Morris coach goes wild. His kids deserved a MUCH better fate. As great as March Madness is I despise when referees DECIDE games.

For the record, the refs in the Villanova game were Bruce Bell (SWAC), Rick Crawford (SEC) and Gary Maxwell (ACC). None of these are the guys who gave Scottie his regular season whistles.
