To be held in Arkansas this weekend. Only one man and probably seven women will represent the Hoyas. Chris Kinney will be competing in the men's 60m hurdles. Also qualified in individual events are Emily Infeld in the women's 3000m and Abigail Johnson in the women's 400m. The women from the 4x400m at Notre Dame qualified, as did the women's DMR from several weeks ago. The DMR team includes Renee Tomlin, Abigail Johnson, Rachel Schneider, and Emily Infeld.

Great showing by the women-The women have also recruited very well this year to improve the team's talent and depth
-Not having Bumby killed the men from a national competitive standpoint for the indoor season--(this was probably their weakest showing in the mid distances in recent memory)They have one high elite 800m recruit this yr, but its unclear what to think of their overall prospects except for their elite 400 + 110 hurdlers going forward. Bumby's return should help this yrs outdoor prospects, but he graduates in May.

New school record for Chris, but just missed qualifying for the final by 0.01 s. Great running by Chris:

Top eight make the final in the 400m, but Abigail Johnson did not make it. I was expecting her to do something special, since she ran a 51.9 relay leg last weekend:
Place Athlete Name Yr Affiliation Time Heat(PL) 1 Francena McCorory SR Hampton 52.14 4(1) 2 Jessica Beard JR Texas A&M 52.25 3(1) 3 Joanna Atkins JR Auburn 52.47 1(1) 4 Fawn Dorr SR Penn State 52.53 2(1) 5 Keshia Baker SR Oregon 52.56 3(2) 6 Jernail Hayes SR Seton Hall 53.02 2(2) 7 Shelise Williams JR Arkansas 53.08 4(2) 8 Kristal Juarez JR TCU 53.38 3(3) 9 Sharay Hale SO Columbia 53.46 1(2) 10 Nadonnia Rodrigues SO South Carolina 53.55 3(4) 11 Joanna Schultz SR Notre Dame 53.58 4(3) 12 Angele Cooper SO Texas 53.59 5(1) 13 Ti'erra Brown JR Miami 53.60 2(3) 14 Shaniqua McGinnis SO Ohio State 53.95 5(2) 15 Abigail Johnson SR Georgetown 53.99 5(3) 16 LaJada Baldwin JR Mississippi 54.30 1(3) 17 Brandi Cross SR South Carolina 54.61 5(4) 18 Afiya Walker JR Wyoming 55.65
EDIT: Updated results have Abigail disqualified.

Huge run by women in DMR coming in 3rd behind Tennesse and Oregon--They were competitive for the NCAA win, but got outkicked by a bit on the final lap.--Congrats to Tomlin, Johnson, Schneider, and Emily Infeld who all ran strong relay legs!
