The thing I love most about him is the ability to break the press and any double team with his dribble. No Hoya PG in JTIII era has been able to consistently do that until Chris.

I was worried he was being too aggressive pressing the issue at the beginning of the game, but he settled down and had a great game! Very impressive, especially the 0 turnovers. Glad to see his shooting stroke was back.

Glad to see his shooting stroke was back. I had the same thought with a couple of his early drives into traffic, but he did a great job of settling down and leading the team.

His aggression should have earned him more points from the line. I hope he doesn't get discouraged and stop being aggressive tomorrow, because we'll need it more than ever.
Taking care of the ball starts and ends with him. It's absolutely crucial that he continues to value the ball like he did today. The rest of the team will follow suit. Tomorrow's game will be decided by how many points we allow Cuse in transition off of turnovers. Keep that number down and we'll have more than a fighting chance.
GREAT GAME TODAY CHRIS!!! KEEP IT UP!!!

Chris has taken care of the ball extremely well this year. Missed a couple of lay ups today he normally makes, but that happens. Give me this type of game from Chris game any day.

Agree, Chris had an overall great game. My complaint goes to coaching, rather than Chris. Can we get rid of the out of bounds play, especially against Cuse, where Chris' man is screened and he at 6'0" gets ball underneath basket and he tries to put layup in over two 6'9" defensive players.

We've scored on that play about 500 or so times this year. If the inbounds catches them off guard, it doesn't matter if they're 7'6". If it doesn't, it wouldn't matter much if they were 6'2"

Can we get rid of the out of bounds play, especially against Cuse, where Chris' man is screened and he at 6'0" gets ball underneath basket and he tries to put layup in over two 6'9" defensive players. The point with that in bounds play is that Chris is so quick that the hope is that he can get off the pick, into the paint, get the ball, and already be going up with the shot before their bigs realize. The only problem with that is 1) teams are ready for it now 2) Chris is not good at drawing a foul there, so as a result teams just look for a block instead of being surprised that he is there. It results in a basket about 25% of the time, a turn over 50% of the time, and Chris just pulls it out 25% of the time. Now the question is, is it worth it? Since JTIII seems to love choosing the highest percentage option it must be. Most team's baseline plays end up with them just getting the ball right at half court and setting up, just thought of this, maybe that below the basket play is called only when there is a certain amount of time left in the shot clock and we need to get a shot up decently quickly. EDIT: Sleepy is right about running it every time, it would be nice to mix it up but fortunately we have ball handlers to go to the half-court as another option, shooters to get to the corners as another option, and bigs to go to the elbow/do the pick.

I think if we started taking it away and ran it only a few times each game it would be more effective.

I like how his teammates supported him on those missed opportunities too... moving in to pick up the easy rebound for a quick tip-in or just to retain possession. We looked like a team that's played together before.

I like that he started this game with energy needed to get his teammates going and punch USF in the mouth. Too often, we absorb the initial blow and then counter, it is nice to see us throw the first punch and then keep punching.
Nice game all around, but the floor general was critical and came to play. Continuing to keep TOs low will be key tomorrow. SU feeds off of their ability to get in transition, they showed that against us and Nova.

I got to watch Chris from courtside today and all i can say is that he had the wye of the tiger today. He was alert, aggressive, looking for lanes to pass or penetrate and played great D. The kid exhibited great intensity today!!
