With No Seniors, Hoyas Look to Clinch Big East ByeThe Hoya Paranoia (Hoya Blog) Thompson added that the whole team’s health is better than it has been in weeks.
“We went through a tough stretch between colds and flus. Over half the team was sick,” Thompson said. “That’s not in any way, shape or form an excuse, but it’s the reality. We’ve been fighting through for 10 days or so. At this point, we’re as healthy as we’ve been in a couple of weeks.” blogs.thehoya.com/paranoia/?p=2337&preview=true

Update from Liz in the W Post: Freeman's status is 'day-to-day' for GeorgetownEXCERPT With Freeman sitting beside him, Thompson said Thursday that he was "100 percent" sure that the junior guard would rejoin the team before the season was over. He didn't rule out the possibility of him playing Saturday.
Everything depends on Freeman's ability to manage his blood sugar, which currently is under control, through the rigors of practice in the coming days.

Mick Cronin will return next season as Cincinnati basketball coachEXCERPT What has gone wrong for UC?
They lost to Xavier in double overtime after making just 10 of 22 free throws. They lost at St. John’s despite leading by three points with 19 seconds to go. They squandered a 12-point first-half lead at Seton Hall and an 11-point first-half lead at Louisville.
More recently, they lost in overtime to Marquette after missing a chance to seal the game with a free throw, and fell at West Virginia after leading by 13 in the first half.
“We’ve had peaks and valleys,” Thomas said. “We’ve beaten some good teams. We beat Maryland and Vanderbilt and we beat UConn twice, but we’ve lost some close games. Tough losses are tough to take, especially when you have a legitimate chance to win. No one is more disappointed in the losses than coach Cronin and the kids on the team.”

I'm at Verizon Center - no sign of Austin, as the teams are in the locker rooms, but the scoreboard says Hollis is set to start in his place. Cincinnati In-Game Thread[Update - Austin is dressed and warming up with the team.]

At least no Cahill. We need every advantage or lack of a disadvantage we can get.
