Beat me to the punch...
They played well in 'spot-duty' tonight. That's all we need them to do...just be solid off the bench.

Lest we forget the sweet spin by Jerrelle around Samardo for the reverse lay-in. Sick.

Why did Vee get so much run? I can't understand why coach would wait until 4 games left in the BE regular season. Anyone shed some light? I doubt it was because he was 'home'?

I assume it was partially because they were playing in his home state.

I would think that Vee has been working hard and developing in our scheme enough for Coach to trust him to contribute. Hope it continues, he has some game.

I assume it was partially because they were playing in his home state. I cannot imagine that Coach would let this play a part in his decision - too big a game to play someone who isn't otherwise ready. Vee has just earned it, probably in practice.

vee has shown great things in limited minutes...doesn't looked rushed or panicked...lock down defender....noone commented on the steal from sosa? (i think) in the first half. I hope the kid keeps comin in!

Not only does Vee look like a lock down defender, he understands where he should be/when to help when his player doesn't have the ball. He played really good D in his spot time late in the Cuse game also. Bench played great tonight, our starting back court did a great job breaking/pushing when Ville pressed.

Bench contributed with Defense, Rebs, hard play and POINTS. It's nice that they actually were more than just obstacles in the way this game. Would be nice to see a lead vs. ND so that these 3 and Henry could get some real playing time and give starters a break for Hokies.

LIC--They have to dust off SIMS before they put him in the game.
Huge Props to Jerelle, Hollis and Vee. The most impressive thing is that this guys are going to be 4 year glue guys. Weve had to many transfers and early departures. I think Clark, Hollis, Jerelle, and Vee are in it for the long haul. To me thats the exciting part..

While I agree that Coach is an unsentimental man, I'm not sure I agree with those who don't think that this investment of trust in Vee was motivated by a return on investment in the future, perhaps the near future.
The bench was stellar. I couldn't look at HS. Was he a big Smiley Face?

I've really made no comments on Vee this year as I really haven't seen enough to evaluate but tonight he showed speed, hops and some handle. Love it.

I think the bench was VERY important in keeping us in the game early. Louisville really came out punching and it could have gotten ugly to the point where we would have been too far behind to come back. Certainly a good development heading into March.

Vee was the clamp on defense. John Jacques II anyone?
