Correction Elvado, sad part is CALIPARI didn't know--and more disgustingly, didn't CARE because he was too excited about the fact Wall was in the team picture.

Wall looks thrilled to be taking that picture.

If things don't work out in the NBA for Wall, he can always make money in Chile. Literally. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8511910.stm"The general manager of the Chilean mint has been dismissed after thousands of coins were issued with the name of the country spelt wrongly."

I'm not sure if this was part of what you were implying. But I don't think you can use "spelt" in that context. I could be wrong and I'm sure that many will be quick to point it out, but if you use "spelt" then I think it would need to be something like "had been spelt wrongly." Even so, it is awkward at best. Then again, there is somewhat of a natural pseudo-pun there with the impression of "smelt." But I don't think they are that creative, even though you clearly are.

Oh those wacky Brits, acting like they invented the language or something.

Is the Blue/White arm sleeve part of the new Nike uniform as well?

It's the BBC, aka the British Broadcasting Corporation. The Brits spell things differently than we do. You'd be surprised how many words are spelled (spelt) differently in the UK/Commonwealth countries. I got docked a lot of points on the first paper I wrote in my study abroad in New Zealand because I forgot to switch to Commonwealth spelling.

It's also perfectly acceptable, in American English, to use "spelt" as the past tense or past participle of "spell," but thanks for playing.

from dictionary.com:
spell 1 (spìl) v. spelled or spelt (spìlt), spell·ing, spells
v. tr.
To name or write in order the letters constituting (a word or part of a word).
To constitute the letters of (a word): These letters spell animal.
To add up to; signify: Their unwise investment could spell financial ruin.
Right you are old chap. I now stand corrected. Although I think the modern version of "spelled" is far more widely accepted. Still, I can't argue with you and I am man enough to admit it, unlike certain others who just disappear or change the subject when proven wrong.

Is the Blue/White arm sleeve part of the new Nike uniform as well? That's where they store the weekly cash payments from Calipari.
