Got this in my email about an hour ago (and didn't see it posted here yet):
"Hoyas,
On behalf of the team, I would like to thank everyone for your tremendous attendance and support during our win this past Saturday. Your efforts to fight Mother Nature and endure the “Blizzard of 2010” are truly appreciated.
The energy you provide at Verizon Center is felt by the team. The atmosphere, caused by your waves of gray, is needed, helpful and inspiring. TOGETHER we can continue to make Verizon Center a rowdy and feared venue for the opposition.
We are on the road for the next two games, at Providence tonight and at Rutgers on February 14th. Please mark your calendars for February 18th when we host Syracuse.
WE ARE….GEORGETOWN!
Thank you,
Coach Thompson
P.S. Witnessing the vast army of Blue & Gray Hoyas march back across the Key Bridge after the game was very special."
I assume this went out to all Student Season Ticket holders, and I think this is great. For something to come from the head of the program in a personal message is very special and I think all the fans at the game even surprised the team with how great an atmosphere we had. Hopefully the 'cuse game being on Thursday won't detract people from coming and we get a jumping Phonebooth

Great, even Coach doesn't know how to use the "We Are Georgetown" cheer. ;D

Coach's favorite cheer... he mentioned that in an interview after the Elite 8 game vs. UNC. He got it going when cutting down the nets

Very nice. I agree, it's an impressive gesture on his part. Print it & frame it.

He also mentions it at every Midnight Madness, Every Freshman pep rally, every time he gets out of bed, after every meal, each time he order at a restaurant, and every time the sun comes up. Im sure it has been mentioned before, but before the game a few players went into the stands to thank the students for coming.

Obviously, I wasn't there, but from the TV shots, I was amazed how large the crowd seemed to be, given the bitter weather and the fact that much/all of the public transportation was shut down. Once they were there however, there's no doubt that the crowd would be up for Nova. Well done guys!

IMO, JT3 is calling for another Grey Out vs. Syracuse!

Very nice message from Coach, and it should put to rest once and for all the notion that the crowd does not have an effect on the game. So, get to the Phone Booth and cheer for the Blue and Gray!
GRAY OUT ON 2/18. If we could do it for the Duke game, we can sure do it for the 'Cuse game!
