I don't think anyone said they deserved a refund. My question was primarily about the exchange and reasons behind playing/not playing. Good points have been made. Some of you get your panties way to tight during these discussions (i'm talking about you sky). I couldn't donate my tickets as I only realized my power would be out at 4am so I had limited time to make adjustments.
My primary concern was keeping an 8 month old warm and keeping food from rotting so the hoya game was a luxury. WIsh I could have made it but I will still state that I was shocked they played (and bitter my power was off and couldn't watch).

My underwear is fine. Just tired of all the cry BABIES in this board. get a life. Crap happens. in most cases you can 't fight city hall at Georgetown = the Athletic Department. It is what it is. Georgetown basketball is a business, they expect you to pay your money and they will do what they do.

ColumbiaHeightsHoya already works around the clock! His son was freezing and his roof was caving in! Give him his money back! Did you want him to abandon his boy?! OUTRAGE!
Then again, Columbia Heights is uphill of the VC, so he probably could have sledded to the game.

Give CHH a break. I am in a situation (economic and family-wise) where I can spend two nites downtown to ensure that I saw the game.
Now the five mile walk home . . . geez, I'm class of 1977 for godsakes!

Good point Dajuan but I should have updated my ID when I moved three years ago to Takoma Park. Still downhill, but that trip home would have been a beast.

I think the ONLY reason that reimbursements/exchanges should be made for those who couldn't make it is because they announced before the game that that would be the case.
"Georgetown Athletics Advisory February 6 Game Against Villanova Going On As Scheduled In anticipation of a large amount of snow this weekend, Georgetown will likely have an exchange program for those unable to make this Saturday's 2/6 game vs. Villanova. If the inclement weather persists, Georgetown Athletics will offer an exchange program whereby tickets for the 2/6 game vs. Villanova can be exchanged for the 3/6 game vs. Cincinnati. All exchanges will be first-come, first-served and are subject to availability."
As a season ticket holder, I really don't care much either way. I don't think they should have to refund tickets if they held the game. But they do have to plan for an exchange if they made an announcement saying they were going to do so, no?

any info is helpful. Is Gtown planning on refunding tickets or exchanging for those unable to attend on Saturday? In answer to your specific question, from the Georgetown Athletics Advisory: "For more details please visit www.guhoyas.com/tickets starting on Monday, February 8 for a definitive procedure." Of course, going to that link will do you absolutely no good as there is no information posted there about a ticket exchange for Cinci tickets. I'd try calling the ticket office directly.
