Do the the right thing and give season tickets holders a credit to their account. No one can expect fans to travel in a foot of snow and risk their lives for a basketball game!

Speak for yourself mrsixer123. I expect you and any Hoya fan within at least 100 miles of Washington, D.C. to risk their lives and be there in the flesh! This is a chance for redemption against Villanova, currently the #2 team in the country. No excuses... and certainly no refunds!

Risk your life? This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Mr. Sixer, you know the chance you take when you buy season tickets. I sure as heck do.
The right thing would be for you to not want to take money from the program for something that's no more its fault than yours or mine.

In a case where every government official begged people to stay off the roads, GU held a basketball game. I decided not to attend because of concerns about my safety getting there and getting back. I'm glad they won, and it will be a memorable experience for all concerned, but I still think that the decision to hold the game was a wrong one.

Nope. Both teams were in town. Officials were in town. Arena was available. That's a recipe for game on. Plus, as mentioned on the telecast, the two programs couldn't find a common open date when the arena was available down the stretch. If that meant playing in an empty building, so be it. Fortunately for us 10000+ were able to make it.
Wizards game tonight was postponed because the Hawks couldn't get to DC. Not the same as our situation.

I thought there was something out there about how you could turn in your tickets for the game today for tickets to the 3/6 game against Cincy??

I guess both GW and American also recklessly don't care about the safety of their fans because they both held home games yesterday in the district.

So did UVA, Pitt, Maryland today and other schools throughout the mid-atlantic in hard hit areas. Most of the time it's just way too hard to reschedule, so if you CAN have the game, you do it. If you're a season ticket holder who didn't want to try to make the trip in I fully understand that, but I don't think the AD owes you any sort of a refund at all. Not their fault it was tough for you to get there.

And jgalt, although no refunds are available, yes, I believe there will be some sort of ticket exchange for the Cincy game for those who couldn't make it yesterday.

I'm ambivalent on whether or not they should have held the game, but it's not as simple as teams were there, officials were there, game on. As someone pointed out in an earlier thread, having the game means the city had to commit additional resources (police officers, etc) that probably could have been used elsewhere.

Cincy tickets are useless to those of us who already had them.
Plus, I bought tickets for Nova because it was a top-10 matchup. Not a game against a middle of the conference team that I have tickets to already through my package. I say this all not passing judgment one way or the other about what should be done, just pointing out that the exchange program is pretty bogus. And if you're going to acknowledge that some credit should be given, then just do it properly.

The team is financially supported by season ticket sales and HHC donations. I was more upset with the scheduling of Temple at 4 PM on a Monday and Harvard at noon on a Wednesday. Both required the normal working population to take some time off work to view the HOYAS. However, I still chose to buy my season tickets. If someone bought tickets for Villanova in a way other than buying season tickets, and the snow prevented you from attending, so what? - YOU cherry-picked which games you were willing to pay to see. Georgetown has no control of the weather. It appears that more people we willing to brave the elements than were willing to take off work to see our team play.
The official attendance figures were: Temple @ 4PM on a Monday---8712 Harvard @ noon on a Wednesday ---7613 Villanova at noon on a Saturday ---10,387
