I think that Gottlieb is an insecure TV personality who feels that he needs to have extreme opinions to be successful. His dislike of GU (most times) is well-documented. With that said, he has a good piece on the OSU plane crash.

I don't like the opening, which seems to self-serving and overly focused on him in a clumsy manner. But skip down to the paragraph that begins "It has been nine years".
The profiles of those who died are gut-wrenching - every person listed in bold is now dead, and Gottlieb gives a few sentences about the personality of each. And it shows how, while only five people may be on a court at any one time for a team, there are a lot of people associated with a program.
