Jefferson isn't even on Hoya radar--so that ship has sailed. Nova now--he was Duke before but now he's a Nova lean--will join his good friend Savon Goodman.

Is he the post player we need? I prefer Tony Parker over him just judging from their build.

No--more of a Jeff Green type PF--very good but with group they just signed--I'm with you Bronxie--rather have a Tony Parker type of big man. Not that you can't make room for a talent--always room--but word for a while is he's going to Nova. Maybe this will be reverse Philly jinx--but doubt it.

Otto and Greg can be Jeff.....we need a Sweetney type. Someone who can get you 20 and 13 on a night or 2.

Great find tony. I certainly hope thats accurate. We would be a very long shot. Doesn't hurt to try though. The staff is doing everything they can to stockpile talent now. I like it. Its tough to give them a hard time when the chips don't fall our way. The effort is clearly there.
By the way, I find it interesting that Jefferson wasn't able to choose in the fall. Maybe the schools on his list just weren't doing it for him. Maybe us coming back on the scene (both in his recruitment and on the court) could spark some interest.

Just did a quick look at the our ESPN recruiting page. They say that the following 2012 prospects are considering us: Pollard, Jefferson, Tony Parker (we're definitely off of his list), White (committed to Kansas today and they haven't updated it yet), and wait for it....the king of decommitting, former Hoya commit, Jordan Goodman.
Now, I visit that page probably once a month, and the schools that players are considering get updated fairly frequently. Take it all with a grain of salt, but I found it interesting.

This is surprising. Not holding my breath, though.

Does anyone have any idea if we are involved with this kid? IF not, why not? Did something happen? because he was listing us earlier on and.. as TonyParker noted...in late NOV we got a mention in an article about him.
If we are really trying to find a replacement for Hollis (e.g. Andrew White), Jefferson would be a great fit. If Troy Williams loves UNC so much, snagging Amile this year would be a smart move too.

Really more of an undersized 4 at this point. Havent heard of us being at any games of his or him mentioning us lately Don't think we're still involved.

This is a big loss - i wish we were on him hard. This kid is smart, versatile, Jeff Green 2.0 with more potential. Perfect fit for our system IMO

He's a loss in the sense Shabazz Muhammed is a loss. We were never in it seriously.
I've heard mixed reports on him. Wants to be a 3, has the skill set of a 4. Smaller than Jeff by a couple inches.

We were never in it seriously. Yep, not getting Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, etc. were also huge losses. In fact, when we didn't land Lebron a few years back, that was a huge loss.

The two schools most prominently mentioned with this kid were first Nova and now Duke. He obviously wants to play for teams I loathe. Good luck working on the Battier Nestea Plunge in Durham
