Well, it was a home win, so in RPI terms, that counts as 0.6 wins, in terms of how it changes our winning percentage in that part of the calculation. The USF home loss counts as 1.4 losses, so it has more than twice as much impact.
The upshot is that with road games against Providence and Rutgers coming up, road wins, if we can get them, would count as 1.4 wins each (the downside is that our SOS will take a slight hit based on their win %'s, but will still likely be top 3, with additional games vs Cuse and WVU still on the docket).

The SOS also has a lot to do with the BET in my mind. You get a bye, and you don't generally get a lower tier BE team in your first game, and your SOS does not take a hit accordingly. Each win gets you another marquee game and better SOS numbers. I could see the team winning the BET as having the best SOS in the country.
