After reading that I feel like I should call my Mom and apologize to her for my teen years. Great stuff.

Amazing piece. Well written, timely and emotional. Why is it that story was in the New York Times and not the Washington post?

Amazing piece. Well written, timely and emotional. Why is it that story was in the New York Times and not the Washington post? GUMBA, I was thinking the same thing when I read it a couple of days. I'm not picking on Liz because I don't think she's necessarily the problem, but how in the world does this story not get told about Greg from any of the Washington papers (including the WTimes when it had a sports section)? I knew that Greg and his family had to deal with Katrina but I never knew the details, never knew what type of maturity Greg showed during the crisis and the aftermath. The fact that I had to learn this from a throw away article in the NY Times is ridiculous. I will say the WPost is especially bad at providing these details about Hoya players. Better articles should have been written about Sweetney, Jeff Green and J. Wallace. If they had worn the red and white of the Terps you can bet those stories would have been written.

Just think, if he had gone to Duke, Mom would run the Durham Post Office.
