Hats off to whoever designed the Grey-Out t-shirts! They really nailed it. So many of the promo t-shirt designs have been mediocre at best, but today's was a real keeper (partly because of the outcome, of course!).
Was this an AD design, a HHC design, or a Hoya Blue design?

Probably a GEICO design, it's the same as they passed out at the Penn State game this year and was sponsored by GEICO. they lost, T-shirt is now acr washing material.

I just got home, between the game, snow, long cab rides, etc....
IT WAS COMPLETE BS THAT THE GRAY OUT SHIRTS WERE $15 IN THE 400 LEVEL!!!!!!!!!.
I understand selling them, I understand that they were subsidized to give away for free to roughly half the arena.... but wouldn't you think if you were trying to get people involved and excited, you wouldn't hit them a $15 tax to wear the shirt for people who clearly could use a free shirt more than most. I was totally willing to pay $5 to cover the cost, and I'd have paid $15 if there was some acknowledgment that the shirts were overpriced and proceeds were going to Haiti relief.
But, simply saying, 'Oh, your in the 400s, $15 to participate in our advertised Gray-out"..... Shame on you Georgetown.
Other than that, sick game, awesome win, we were dominant, yada yada yada, but still a big faux pax for whoever ran this ridiculousness.

I'll have to investigate what the logic was on that one. I mean...if you don't sell all the extras for $15 bucks (little steep, huh?) at the game...it's not like they have a shelf life. They have the date/game on the back! (EDIT): The Hoya's Twitter feed had a pic of the back of the shirt: twitpic.com/1086so The front is identical to the WAG shirt logo. Far as I know it was AD-designed.

I don't know the real reason but my bet is that since the 100 and 200 level seats are pretty much all HHC members and most of 400 is not AND the HHC sponsored the shirts that accounted for the differential. That would make sense to me.

That would make sense to me. Agreed that the 400 is not HHC, however, it is a lot of the 5-game weekend plan holders, and yesterday it was also the overflow for student section and the young alumni section who bought tickets for alumni weekend. It just struck me as odd not to sell the things at cost when the whole she-bang was advertised, or as I said to tie it in to the relief kickoff. Granted, neither me or the GF needed shirts since we were decked in gray, including GF's freshly painted nails

Again, I have no knowledge of actually why, but $15 is the price the regular WAG shirts sell for. If it was a subtle way of incenting membership in the HHC and direct support of the program, I have no problem with that.
