Sure seems like he's bulked up in the last few weeks. Maybe he's spending more time on the weights and less on the court in order to develop some BE-ready strength...

the 4 headed monster was alive and performing near the top last night. liked the way JV worked without GM in the game and how the two played off each other when both were in the game. HS gave us some good bench minutes last nite.

He's been ingesting all the bile sent his way on this board the last two weeks. He's huge.

What's more, he really played with a chip on his shoulder last night. He clearly doesn't like sitting on the bench, and he reacted in the best way possible, like he was trying to prove to everybody that he should get more PT.

I don't know about bulking up, but he sure played like it. Even though he did not score, Sims had a great game last night. He had four rebounds and two big blocks in 10 minutes. Most of this happened during a crucial part of the game, when Seton Hall was making a run and Greg was saddled on the bench with four fouls. I think Sims is probably our best shot blocker.
I like Sims' intensity. When he plays with it, he brings a lot to the table, especially with blocks, rebounds, and putbacks. I feel like it's kind of similar to how Roy played better when he was angry. If Sims can develop some post moves, he can bring more to the table offensively. I'd rather him and Vaughn not take any threes.
Crowd gave him a nice ovation when he came out of the game. Hopefully that encourages him. We needed him last night and he delivered. Four-headed monster looked very good last night.

Henry also seemed less frenetic last night, more in control of his body and in good position. A very good sign, he should get more minutes if he continues to improve. We will need him the next few games.

Henry was great last night. I noticed that he looked bigger too, but his confidence was also much better. He is a great shotblocker, and really played with some energy.

We're definitely going to need all the depth we can muster for the Rutgers-Syracuse Saturday Monday turnaround. Not that the next 5 days are any piece of cake...

The best moment was in the second half when a Pirate ran into him full speed and then dropped to the group as if he had hit a brick wall. That was in the middle of Sims's unbelievable tear when he looked like he was going to eat every rebound in sight.

I think it was Pope, who Hank had also ripped the rebound from down on the defensive end. He showed a lot of toughness, but didn't get baited into anything stupid. Just kept the ball. Loved it.
Told the wife when he came in, "he is going to swat a shot into the 10th row." Low and behold, there went a weak floater.
And the scary thing, as the two guys behind me pointed out, he mis-timed at least two potential blocks. One he went too early, one too late. He really could have had both.
If he can play like this and earn 6-10 quality minutes, that would be great. Big If, but if he were spelling Greg or Julian and there was little drop off defensively (the offense may take a little more time), we would be in very nice shape.

He definitely seems like he had more confidence last night. Maybe the fact that Monroe was out with four fouls and Sims realized "hey, I'm going to be in here for a little while" and he calmed down and just played. He certainly has the skills, he just needs to get more comfortable and confident out there.

A few things to DEFEND Henry:
1. He's one of the youngest players in CBB--he was the youngest last year. Don't think Henry turns 20 until this upcoming Summer and he'll have completed 2 years at Georgetown. Bruce Pearl has 24 year old Sophomores just to compare.
2. He's ALWAYS supportive of his teammates on the bench. I know it goes unnoticed but I appreciate that as a fan and think it shows he's in the game and cares about winning.
3. Always hustling. He's always competitive when in a game. Offensively is where people look at the "he's lost" stuff--but he's always been an aggressive player on defense/boards.
4. Last night showed he was prepared to play when called upon--and loved that III didn't immediately throw Greg back in when Seton Hall made run. Henry earned his time and kept team in comfortable lead. He also took a good shot when open and was willing to go down low. He's just got to look at Julian Vaughn--who had a struggle in his Soph season and look at progress he's made. If you stick with it and don't look to bounce simply when things haven't gone as planned--you'll be rewarded.
Henry is going to be a solid player at Georgetown but nice to see last night happen for him because he's a kid who has not shown one sign of discontent and love to see guys who support their team when not in the game get rewarded. Keep it up Henry and good things are ahead!!

I don't know about bulking up, but he's got some sweet ink on his arms.
Great picture, showing off his tats, during one of his blocks in the Washington Post print edition today. (I didn't see the picture in the online story).

He certainly has the skills, he just needs to get more comfortable and confident out there. Good point - Henry has seemed so anxious not to make a mistake at times that it has kept him from playing confidently, resulted in the mistakes he was so nervous about, and put him back on the pine. Hope all that starts to fade now.

He reminds me of Tyler in this regard. And the way they Tweet each other up and always have smiles on their faces*, it seems like he, Greg, Hollis, Austin, etc. are really getting along well, which is huge. Maybe it's just something "nice" in a heartwarming sort of way, but I always loved that our '06–'08 team had a great core of guys who genuinely liked each other. And I think we're seeing that again. Whether it matters on the floor, who knows, but I like to think it does. *Not smiles during the game, but like Midnight Madness and their "This or That" video...those sorts of things. The guys look happy.

Just winning games does wonders for team chemistry, though. I find this a very likeable Georgetown team myself. I still almost have heart attacks watching the games, but I'm rarely getting mad at them.
