Hello from the other end. Can anyone hold a lead in this league?

Yeah I hate Scottie Reynolds alright, but he sure seems to be having a helluva' senior season.
PS to mccard: your coach looks like a schmuck in that white suit. How in the hell does he pick up the ladies wearing that thing?

Marquette, unfortunately. Only against us. They drop it versus everyone else. I've normally been on the "Scottie Reynolds is overrated" bandwagon. Up until this year. He's still up and down, but he's darn good this year.

Tough loss last night, mccard. My eyes hurt from watching all of that white all night! The good news is that Calipari makes your guy look like a boy scout. Good luck, crush Syracuse whenever you play them, we'll see you later in the season.

criticize reynolds all you want but he was a cold-blooded killer last night. we better get out and guard these little fkrs sunday or else Nova will put up 90 on us.
Their failure to take care of the ball against the press was interesting, to say the least, considering they play like 6 guards at a time.

I feel like we'll make them play a MUCH slower game on the offensive end than they had to play last night. Don't get me wrong, we'll have our hands full, but then I also think if Louisville's able to exploit Nova inside, we can too. Finally, if I see Scottie pull his pump-fake-draw-movement-then-jump-into-the-defender-and-toss-the-ball-sideways BS, I might explode.

The efficiency numbers suggest that Nova's Achilles Heel is its defense (Luke Winn pointed this out recently). They're allowing more than a point per possession so far in Big East play, which at or just about the national average for all teams. No team since 2003 has allowed for than .946 points per possession defensively and qualified for the Elite Eight. So the clear implication is that this is a good, but not elite team, and presumably someone will take advantage of that sooner or later. Obviously their offense is awesome, which has led the team so far.

On Nova again--their defensive efficiency (points allowed per possession) ranks 11th in the Big East, ahead of only ND, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, and DePaul.

Am I the only fan to find it refreshing that there were so many fouls called in that game? I didn't agree with all calls there, but what these teams do is not a defensive style, and it is often excused if they just do it consistently and "dictate the style" of the game.

Jay Bilas was practically apoplectic about Louisville not getting Samuels enough touches last night, hopefully we can use our front line better on Sunday
[looks at Roy's stat lines from every Nova game from the past couple of years] Oh crap

Haven't watched much Nova this year, but my recollection is that Will "Bump" Sheridan (and a wing fronting Roy) was their key to shutting Hibbs down. I feel like Jeff had some great games in those matchups, and i feel pretty decent about our wings and bigs being able to score on Nova.
