I guess kansas st.'s 14 pt win over arkansas pine bluff was worthy of them jumping us and tennesse despite neither team losing this week

We have 10 games on our schedule against teams currently in ESPN's Top 25. Three of these, we have already played and won: Washington, Temple, Butler. Pretty challenging if you ask me. "Hey, JT3, this ain't your father's Scheduling plan!"

Every week, Temple is looking like a better and better win.

here's the AP analysis pollspeak.com/pollstalker/pollstalker.php?r=T&s=10&p=20&w=8&t1=121&t2=0&v=517Scott Mansch of Great Falls Tribune (Newspaper);Great Falls, Montana is the only voter who is not voting for the Hoyas. We were 24th last week in his poll after the ODU lost and now are unranked after the Harvard win. Mean while every voter who left us out last week after our loss now rank us. Cory Curtis moved us from unranked to 16th Jon Whilner moved us from unranked to 24th Nick Jezierny moved us from unranked to 16th Steve DeShazo moved us from unranked all the way up to 13th.

It would be interesting to hear how the Mansch-eater justifies ranking Washington #15, yet not ranking the team that beat the ever living stuffing out of Washington on a neutral site. Interesting indeed.

"Hey! Let's all have a party for our ballots and just be as irrational as possible how does that sound? AWESOME!" GO POLLSTERS GO! They then proceed to morph into whatever the Power Rangers morphed into.....I can't even remember.

"Hey, JT3, this ain't your father's Scheduling plan!" It's also crazy in the sense that there are only 4 other ranked BE teams, and we play 6 games against them. Even without a great OOC, we would have had a pretty daunting schedule this year.

This only gives credence to my working theory that some voters literally forget about teams from week to week.

I just sent a polite e-mail to Mr. Mansch at the Great Falls Tribune asking him for an explanation of his failure to vote for the Hoyas. I will pass on any explanation he may choose to tender.

Mr. Mansch's response: "Fair criticism, perhaps. Though I think Washington has certainly played well since that loss to the Hoyas, in retrospect No. 15 could well be too high. The omission of Georgetown this week might also be unreasonable. However, I consider the home loss to Old Dominion to be a bad one. Agree? Thanks for the note. I shall keep an eye on the Hoyas."

In other words: "I put no thought into my poll this week and now I need to scramble for a bogus explanation so I can keep this Georgetown(where is that school anyways?) fan happy with my press. Oh wait I forgot I work for what was it again? I even forgot the name."

Decided to dig a little deeper in light of his response. He certainly did think that the ODU game was a bad loss. The week before the ODU game aka right after beating butler and washington he had us as 7th in the nation. Ok so the next week we lose to ODU arguably a bad loss so he drops us to 24th. Then we beat a solid harvard team and I guess he feels that the 17 spot drop last week wasn't representative of how bad that loss was so he decided to drop us two more spots to out of his top 25. oh well.
