My friend Bob just finished the fifth edition of his "An Athlete's Guide To Agents." Amazon link - tinyurl.com/yl5fv9xI got a copy in the mail today and had not seen it mentioned anywhere that the latest pressing has a new two page introduction by John Thompson III. JS

Athlete's guide to book shopping.... don't pay 46 bucks for a how-to book. Unless you've got a good agent who will get you a ton of cash to pay for these type of things.

At which point you don't need the Guide to Agents cuz you've already got a good one.

There's a lot of athletes who could have saved millions by following good advice. Granted, it probably could be cheaper and shorter, with about five one line pieces of advice:
1. No relatives. 2. Get someone experienced. 3. Get someone who has more to lose than gain from stealing from you 4. Get an independent accountant to double check statements or learn how to do it yourself.
You can bet John Calhoun isn't getting asked to write a forward for something like this.

John Calhoun is probably off somewhere remembering what it was like to be Vice President in the 1820s, before advocating for secession. That said, Jim Calhoun and John Calipari are not likely to be writing forwards for the book, either. ;D

I assume the gist of the intro is "your first loyalty is to your AAU handler"

My friend Bob just finished the fifth edition of his "An Athlete's Guide To Agents." The author is Robert Ruxin? Does he have a brother named Teddy?
