joke, and a bad one at that. I don't think Nikita is as bad as everyone likes to believe.

HoyaSinceBirth and I may disagree on Nikita's on-court contribution, but we can both find common ground in agreeing on the Onion-like nature of that article.
Thank you to the Heckler for bringing HoyaSinceBirth and I together.
Casually.

Yeah, no real need for this. Nikita will probably see this, and what do you think his reaction will be? Let's just support our players no matter what.

Obviously a joke and I'm with the folks above... not funny even a little. The worst part about the "joke" is that regardless of any issues that any Hoya fan may have with Nikita, I'm quite sure his effort is NOT one of them. It's, in fact, what I like most about him and why I continue to hope to see him improve to the point where he sees real minutes.
Big swing and a miss.

If Nikita hopes to someday play second division hoops in Belarus, he is going to have to get used to a critical media. This is just part of a Georgetown education preparing the players for their future.

While the writing is decent, the topic doesn't make sense to me. Nikita isn't great, but he's not embarassing -- does anyone think "missed layup" when they mention Mikita. And there's no effort issues here.
It just feels forced. It's not like it was one of the myriad of late 90s players who couldn't make a layup.

"Nikita will probably see this"
I doubt it

I see a bigger upside to Nikita than most. I think he'll be a solid 10-12 minute contributor come January. Hope I'm right.

Lancaster, I am with you - Nikita with Hollis and a big down low and 2 guards up top - Zone on defense and a nightmare on offense with 4 perimeter guys who can shoot... It's not a starting lineup by any stretch but could be an option... The kid needs confidence...

don't get it.
if the article had made fun of his defense, it could have at least been mildly funny... but Nikita is a good shooter.

Didn't Nikita average more PPG than Henry last year? Why not go after him?

Didn't Nikita average more PPG than Henry last year? Why not go after him? Racism. Facilities. Princeton system. Impact on recruiting.

Would have been much funnier if it were about Rivers.

Change "Nikita" to "Vernon" and "lay ups" to "free throws" and I'm with you.

DayJack was King of missed layups. Only in games - he always made them in the layup lines.
