Can't really say he should have gone to college when that wasn't an option for him, considering he could not qualify. Personally, I think college is not for everybody.
Obviously, very good move in hindsight not to get involved with him.

If this thread doesn't survive for another 35 pages, I'll be disappointed.

Junior College is for every and anyone! From a purely basketball perspective, he enhances his chances by playing against competition he can get off against versus playing against guys that are as good or better. See Kwame Brown.
If LW would have went the college route, juco or otherwise and really dominated he would have been much more sought after. No scientific evidence to back this up, but it is obvious.

Yeah, I think his advisors suck. JC would have benefited him in the long run. But the lure of big, easy money probably disguised the fact that it really wasn't there.

They saw $1.6M or whatever for Brandon Jennings, and told Williams he could get something like that. Instead of realizing that he's not Jennings, and the best he was going to do was a D League Salary (which is lower than $45k, I think). That's what I was trying to say, even if it wasn't clear.

Ouch, if it's 20K that's not even enough to live on in many areas. Hope J-Wall has some money saved up and/or a part-time job.
