Ummm, I just got around to looking at the schedule and is it correct that the temple game starts at 4pm on a Tuesday???
Is that one of these government holidays I don't know about or am I looking at my calendar wrong (maybe 2010 or 2011 vs. 2009). I am sure this has been talked about but this is just a strange way to start your home schedule.
Nice scheduling work!

yeah we've all known about this for a while. It's part of the ESPN kick off Day on hoops where they're showing 24hrs of live hoops. Just be lucky we're not the 6am game that they're playing in New jersey.

Add to that the noon game on Dec 23 and the 8pm start on New Year's Eve and we've got a nice home schedule, huh?

Wow, I guess that is kind of a good reason. I would expect a very thin crowd so students better represent.

Obviously an economic decision on the part of the AD. Figured they'd get more money by being on ESPN than by selling additional tickets to a later start time. I don't mind them making decisions based on $ like that, but everyone should understand that fans don't come first, second or third when it comes to scheduling.

I, for one, am glad to use this opportunity to take a half-day to watch the Hoyas!

You people have to get your priorities straight, like C2C and I have done. ;D An afternoon with the Hoyas, followed by an evening with Echo & The Bunnymen at The Black Cat (!!). What could be better?

I'm with Boz and C2C. I've already put in for a half day of work and will be there for the home opener.

I know Chaney has been known to hold practices at 6 am so sounds about right.

Speaking of weird start times I just noticed that the American game is @ 4:00 PM on a Saturday. I don't think I've ever seen a weekend game start so late

I don't think I've ever seen a weekend game start so late I know that Mercer County Community College is playing Frederick on the Verizon Center court that afternoon at noon. Not sure if it effects the American / Georgetown start time, but Coach Thompson is doing a nice thing for Mercer coach Howie Levy, who he coached with / played a season with at Princeton.

I don't think I've ever seen a weekend game start so late You have to go all the way back tooooooooooo.......... our previous home game against Depaul, which started at 5:00 on a Saturday. Even if you were at the game, I can see why any reasonable fan of good basketball would try to forget it.
