Looking forward to chatting with you guys before the game. Would be nice to take a double off of you in basketball and football this year Regardless, should be fun, and anyone who is coming down for the game, welcome, and hope you have fun.

At the begining of the season I was optimistic about this game. I thought it's their first year, how good can they be. Of course the question I should've been asking was How bad can we be? Apparently spectacularly bad. I don't really give us a chance in this game. At Least we'll get revenge by beating them in basketball.

You can have football. We'll take basketball. No, let's take both. At Least we'll get revenge by beating them in basketball. No guarantees on that, either. It's at McDonough Gym.

I'm not sure what to think of this game. I know close to nothing about the Hoya football team other than the record, but it's possible that the Monarchs take Georgetown for granted after winning three straight. I think Wilder is smarter than that though, and will have ODU ready. Whether or not that's the case, expect GU to make a lot of false start penalties...Foreman Field can get REALLY loud. You'll most likely see ODU make some stupid mistakes too; this team has received a bunch dumb of personal fouls so far. Not sure how good GU is against the spread offense, but that's the type of offense Wilder runs. You'll also see ODU run A LOT of QB draws early, and if they work, expect it the whole game. And when we do punt, just assume you'll be pinned deep. You have to watch our punter Jonathan Plisco to believe the stuff he can pull off. Many in the ODU community already think he's NFL caliber, and he still has three more years here. He's that good.
I hope many of you can make the trip to Norfolk to support the GU team. We're all really proud of the atmosphere we've created at Foreman (which itself is a beautiful FCS facility), and I'd love to see some Hoya fans there. Hopefully the weather will hold up too so it'll be a beautiful Halloween evening, and good night for football.

The fact that the basketball game is at McDonough is all the more reason why we SHOULD win that game. Just because ODU upset us there once does not mean that they can handle McDonough, which is probably one of the tougher places to play in D-1 Men's Basketball. Also, expect few Hoya fans in Norfolk.

I doubt many hoyas will make it down, most people have better things to do on halloween.
I bleieve ODU's 2 victories over us both happened in McDonough. But I think we'll win.

It was a JOKE. Look, I WANT to care about the football team. I love football and I do legitimately feel bad for the guys who work hard for not much in the way of results but until the university gives a damn, it's hard for myself and a lot of other people to do so. I'd be thrilled if we put up a fight on Saturday but at this point it's hard to see that happening. ODU's program is definitely already something to emulate.

If there are any Hoya fans making the trip to Norfolk and would like to join in on some tailgating, PM me for details. Group of about 40 of us that always has a good spread. Come on by and don't worry about a thing.

OK, my somewhat informed prediction, based on following our team's continuing troubles and reading DFW's write-up on the front page: closer than expected, but Georgetown drops to 0-8 - ODU 24, Hoyas 14.
ODU has a nice record, but they've played some weak opponents, so maybe we can hang with them. We can only hope.
Pictures of the stadium look nice, and the pre-game activities listed on the front page look fun. If our team was competitive, I'd consider making a trip down if we played each other again there.

Should be a few hundred Georgetown fans at the game Saturday. ODU opened about 300 tickets for sale Thursday, which might be what was unsold from the GU allotment.

I'd consider making the trip just so I can go to what is probably the closest Sonic to DC.

Trust me I'm not a pie in the sky football fan. I feel very bad about what has happened this year. However I feel very good about this game. OD has not played anyone. We are a better team than we've shown. We win this game. In fact I think we win 3 (for sure 2) games between here and the end of the year. You heard it here first. Georgetown WINS, Georgetown WINS, Georgetown WINS!!!!!

I definetly think you have a chance, but I also think we win this one at home.

3 yards of total offense in the 1st quarter, 17-0 ODU.
Surprisingly high production value on the feed I'm watching. Unsurprisingly low production value on the field I'm seeing.
