While I'm not lic-like in my desire for a 7', I'm a huge fan of them. Height like that changes everything and I hope he chooses to play at GU and continues to improve.

I really want to get this kid. He is just learning the game and is physical a little slow to react at times but he has a very high ceiling.

Watching what Zoubek has been doing this season - pretty much since he disappeared in Duke's game against us - makes me realize just how much I want III to take a flyer on this kid. He is HUGE, and with proper coaching could be a solid anchor for future Hoya teams.

Focus on Rakeem Christmas... but I agree that adding a 7 footer (maybe with an inch or two left to grow) would be nice.

If the Hoyas get Christmas it may come down to whether Gtown wants Hopkins from DeMatha or Jordan O more. With Moses in the fold will III go after a second big man who is not polished on offense?
By the way lets not make Zoubek an example of a type of player the Hoyas can use. For 3 and a 1/2 seasons he has been a dud. I wouldn't want a guy who only gets decent in his last two months of college basketball.

I don't Roc effects whether III takes JO or not. Roc is a 4, not a 5. I don't care what he's listed as. Now, in this system he'll play both, but I think he's better alongside a big rather than being the main big. Imo, another guard, big and wing are essential. Fourth schollie is potluck.

You misunderstood me and I put the blame for that on my wording. So I'll try it again. If the Hoyas get Christmas I can see them at best going after only one more big man in the class of 2011 (because bringing in three big guys for 2011 would be overkill). So it could come down between Hopkins and Jordan O if Christmas is already in the fold.

I can see that. I know a WF is a priority as is Roc. I think Hopkins and Chol may be battling for that one schollie. I bring JO in regardless. I like the wide net III is casting on all of his targets.

Not sure how that is ouch-worthy. Good luck to the kid but I'm very pleased with our bigs in the classes of 2010-2012 at this point.
