Even though we won last year, I can't predict a win. They might not be world beaters, but they did score 7 points on Rutgers (a bad Big East team, but still a Big East team). Meanwhile we can't score an offensive touchdown on ANYONE.
Just a question though, is Howard bringing their marching band or did we just reuse the banner from last year? I really hope its the former
The band's web site says they are playing at Georgetown. No word on whether the band will march into campus. --Admin

1) let's hope for some academic suspensions on Howard's part.

Seeing the Howard band would be cool, although a bit awkward because they would really put our band to shame. Should be interesting.
Come on, guys, it's HOMECOMING, and we're not playing an Ivy League team like the last couple years... LET'S GO HOYAS!

1500 lbs O-line tackle-to-tackle! They are truly Bison. Will they even need to throw? NKOTB needs another 300 yd day. Good luck out there.

Wow, great press release by their interim AD, I just wish we had similar leadership or the ability to sponsor related initiatives that produce results. here's hoping we sack up and the dline & co. is ready for the fatties from across town (HU's oline). I hope the weather holds out (30-60% chance of rain during game time; then it hits 80-90% from 6pm-9pm) for a great Homecoming celebration!

Out of curiosity, is the mayor expected at the "Mayor's Cup?" I believe he is a Howard alum, right? I suppose it'd be sort of cool if he attended and gave the winner the trophy. Was he there last year?

And I remind everyone the game will be live, hopefully with no technical difficulties on WGTB Sports....www.georgetownradio.com/sports

Since the FG the teams have been trading punts.

Howard up 7-3. Then they do a surprise onside kick (to add to a successful fake punt in the first quarter). I don't think their strategy will pay off, but I give the Howard coach credit for playing like his job's on the line which, no doubt, it is.

Well. 14-3. Guess it did work.

Interception. Howard ball on our 35(?).
We're going to lose every game this season, huh?

Just got back from the game. Left after Howard recovered the onside kick because it was raining harder and it wasn't looking too good for us. It's fun to watch our offense look to the sideline for an audible while in formation and see Coach Kelly (or the offensive coordinator) put up a thumbs up sign (no other hand signals from anyone else) before we run the same shotgun draw play for a 1 yard gain. Do we have any plays where the quarterback lines up under center? How about any running plays at all beside the shotgun draw?

Do we have any plays where the quarterback lines up under center? How about any running plays at all beside the shotgun draw? We just tried to kick a 45 yard field goal into the wind and pouring rain. We'd only have been down 8 if we hit it, which for most teams wouldn't be a problem...but for us, it would be since we don't score touchdowns. You might not be surprised to learn that it was a bad snap and it got "blocked" before anyone even raised a leg to kick it. We need a fresh start...or we need to consider paving over the MSF and trying football again in another 40 years.

We got first and goal from the 2 and were promptly stuffed on four plays in a row. FOUR PLAYS IN A ROW.
After getting stuffed for the fourth time in a row, it appeared that several lineman took off their helmets and started yelling toward the bench. Can't confirm that, but that's certainly how it looked.
