I am so jealous of all new Hoyas. I would do anything to be one of them right now. HoyaChris and I say this all the time. Add me to this list. Congrats to all the parents on the board who have kids enrolling (or already enrolled) at Georgetown!!! Quite an accomplishment. If I have a kid someday I pray that they will want to go to Georgetown. I would have a hard time sending money to say, Maryland.

I graduated in 88 and one of the replies to "What's a Hoya?" I often heard was "Your future employa" Quality first post! And this thread is kind of frightening me. While the Freshmen are just starting their journey, I'm starting the last year of it!!!

I am all for the double Hoya. I am one myself. Just a word to the wise..... The hangover (for lack of a better word) after graduating from college is very depressing. We all recognize this. Let me just say, the hangover after graduating from college AND THEN from grad school? Holy motherfrakking crap! Be prepared to have a therapist standing by with some good drugs, and some friends who will keep all of the sharp knives and shoelaces away from you. It goes something like this.... "I just racked up how much in debt? And my new job pays me what?!?!? And you're telling me I can't go out to The Tombs five nights a week anymore?? And spend the entire summer (and most of the spring if we're honest) completely abdicating responsibility??? Sweet Jesus, what have I done!!!" I can only imagine the feeling that must occur after three degrees. Jebus, you might want to have a whole team of psychiatrists standing by. Hmm. Hope I didn't just bring everyone down. ;D

Dan, you must be a master of multi-tasking - moving your daughter in, helping to moderate this board, and still having enough time to answer PMs. ;D Congratulations to Dan and all the other Hoya parents.

Thought I'd chime in and say I'll be starting grad school at Georgetown Wednesday. As a member of a Hoya family (dad, brother are alumni, sister is a current student), it feels great to join everyone in the Hoya family!

I also have a daughter who is a freshman. Aside from moving in, this weekend featured the convocation where I and other alums put on robes and helped greet the freshmen as they entered McDonough. To my surprise, Sleepy Floyd stood across from me in the "receiving" line. He too must have a freshman on the hilltop.

Quit trying to hijack threads, hifi. Eric has a son who is a freshman. No idea whether he plays hoops, I did not ask Eric when I talked with him. I thought it would be nice for him to simply be a proud Dad like I was.

I heard Austin crashed the Move-In Pizza event and downed a couple of pizzas.
