What's the need to run up the score in a playoff game? It's a low-class move for a non-rivalry game and doesn't help the Vikings one bit next week.
Geaux Saints.

You know it's a great NFL playoff Sunday when Cowboys fans are whining.
You know how you avoid getting the score run up. You stop the other team.
Suisham rules.

How is it "running up the score"? You had 60 minutes to impact the game and your most concerned about a meanignless TD? Is any fan going to remember the exact score anyways? I mean 27-3 or 34-3--it's still a butt kicking loss and ends your season--so who gives an EXPLETIVE of how bad you lose. Season Over.
Anyone look more scared then Tony Romo in a Playoff game? I mean he was awful and there was nothing wrong with that snap Gurode gave him.
Pencil Minnesota in Super Bowl too--as I trust the Saints as much as I trusted Esherick to design a winning play late in a game. Peterson could set a Playoff record for yardage in that game. Hope I'm wrong but Bumpkin Boy is going back to Super Bowl.
Now if it's against the Jets--then I'm wondering what the hell the world has turned into. Talk about getting Norval'd to a tee. Playing for FG's is what LOSERS do and Wade/Norval did it far too much today. Although Coach Jerry Jones needs to fire Jason Garrrett who is an arrogant nitwit who gets far too "cute".

Excellent call by Rex to go for it on 4th down with a under two minutes to go to beat SD! Norv! What were you thinking with that onsides kick?
JET D! Amazing.
Rookie Coach, Rookie QB and the JETS are playing in the AFC Championship game? Incredible. A HUGELY successful first year already.

Nate Kaeding, good lord. The guy hadn't missed a field goal from 40 yards in since 2007. I'm speechless.

The Vikings scored the final touchdown on 4th and 4 from the Cowboys' 11. What should they have done? Kick a field goal to make it 30-3? Take a knee? In a playoff game!? Also, if you think there's no history between the Cowboys and Vikings, you might want to brush up on the history of the hail mary pass.

Now I have no issue whatsoever with the TD--and it's actually considered rubbing it in if Vikings had kicked a FG there. If you don't want them to try and score-don't use your timeouts as if your team is still in the game. That being said--what kind of RETARDED logic is the "Hail Mary" game supposed to bring to this? I mean does this make up for that game? Will this "hurt" Drew Pearson? As a Viking fan are you really so inept full of a loser mentality that a game in 1975 still holds so bitter? Any Dallas fan can sit back and laugh at Viking fans when it comes to their "bitterness" knowing they were organization that GAVE Jerry Jones 3 Super Bowl Trophies--due to Mike Lynn and the Herschel Walker trade. Now that is reason to be bitter--but a game in 1975? GET A LIFE. ;D

As someone who grew up a Cowboys fan, since they were the only team on TV every week at 4pm, I still had no problems thoroughly enjoying the Vikings victory. When Emmitt Smith left the Boys years ago, I "severed all ties." Jerry Jones is about as unlikable as is humanly possible and of course, I was never much of a Jimmy Johnson or Barry Switzer fan either. With Harvin to root for, Go Vikings!
RDF, I see you're still holding that "soft spot" in your heart for Favre. Hee hee hee ...

DFW said there was no rivalry. I countered there was at least a history. Could have mentioned the Walker trade/fire sale/debacle but chose a football moment instead. Nice try though.

As a Redskins fan since time immemorial, I just wish Favre (sorry, Bumpkin Boy) had thrown ten TD passes.

There is no rivalry. Dallas fans don't even think about Minnesota. They thank them for providing talent that helped get them 3 rings, but aside from that--their frustrations could be summed up as wanting Dallas to get Randy Moss instead of Greg Ellis, and how Moss held/holds a grudge to this day--which results in multiple TD games. You can't have a rivalry when the other side doesn't even acknowledge you. Maybe it could develop into one now that Brooking acted like a clown but doubt it--because Bumpkin Boy isn't going to be around next year, so no need talking this up. Vikings and Jets in Super Bowl would be interesting--it would be BUMPKIN BOWL--and to think the Jets got into the postseason simply because 2 teams laid down last two weeks of season. ;D

I can't believe people are talking about running up the score in professional football.
