Good read, looks like he's still on pretty good terms with the program.
I wish him the best and can't wait to see him in the NBA with Jeff & Roy.

Great article- thanks for posting. Now I am really fired up about following Dajaun in the NBA. Despite the ups and downs, he was a really good Hoya, and I hope has a great NBA career.

Q: Would you ever warn a high school kid against Georgetown for that reason, because they wouldn't get the numbers?
A: No, I would tell them just know what they're getting themselves into. Because it's a great program, you become a better all-around player. There's a lot of guys who go to schools and be one and done, and they're not all-the-way developed, they still have holes in their game. I don't think you can say, in recent history, anybody coming from Georgetown has holes in their game. We're solid players. You've just got to be smart. Most kids don't want to take that long route, but it's beneficial.
That quote right there sums up everything I would want a young player in HS trying to decide on a school to read before making a decision. I'm sure JTIII uses this as a selling point when he is recruiting, but when a player of his (and especially one that the media has unfairly portrayed as someone who "failed" because of the system) does nothing except endorse the program as one that made him a better player that is prepared for the next level, it speaks volumes.

Good God, it's like the mafia. Keep it all in the family.
For everyone who attacked DaJuan as a head case, he had the smarts to say all the right things and not burn any bridges (whether or not he actually felt that way).

See all the DaJuan bashers should really eat their words. The kid is good kid at heart and just b/c he didnt develop to the expectations (whether reasonable or unreasonable) is no need to bash him like he gets bashed on here. He is an ambassador to the program and so far has undertaken that title in a more than respectable way. CHUCH (not church).

Dajuan has never, ever said a single bad word about the program - and people really should stop assuming that he has bad feelings towards GU. His actions and words speak very positively about him as a person and about the program as a whole. I'm happy for the guy, and look forward for watching him in the NBA.

Let this be the end of all the artificial "controversy" that was in part drummed up on this board regarding DaJuan's relationship with the program. Now I just need DaJuan to officially make the team so I can buy my first Pistons' jersey.

Whether he was your favorite player or not, DaJuan represents himself and his school well in that interview. He's certainly saying the right things in public - and a more in depth interview like that one allows follow-ups to clarify things that, if quoted out of context, can feed a firestorm in a place like this.

Great comments by DaJuan in this article. He said all the right things, and it read as being very genuine and unrehearsed. The ONLY thing I would have liked to have seen was a reference to finishing up his degree, but the question wasn't asked so I wouldn't expect him to go there.

DaJuan is more mature than 99 percent of the people on here, myself included.

Showed a lot of class in that article. Unfortunately, there's a lot of people here that won't ever give him credit for that.

Oh wow, he beat you by a whole 27 minutes. You should feel ashamed. Frankly, I'm glad this link has its own thread as it should absolutely shut a lot of people up. Summers comes across as well-spoken, mature and classy -- all the things we've come to expect out of Georgetown athletes.

Amen to these comments. Great interview by Dajuan. Just sad that I am missing his last game in Las Vegas, as we speak (I am acting boss today, so I can't just up and leave; well I can, but I am not like that ).
